Good news to all our advertisers. As of now, we decided to use a 3rd party Paid Advertisement broker that will handle the payments of our Paid Ads and also the serving of banner ads from our advertisers. With the serving of ads handled by their servers, there is no added load to our server and thus, no performance issues for the operation of Sulit.com.ph.

Please note that initially, the statistics for Clicks/Ad/Wk and Avg. CPC are skewed because the system was just setup a few hours ago.

Sulit.com.ph will accept the following paid ads format:
- Header Ads (Banner size: 468x60 pixels)
- Peel Away Ads (Banner size: 500x500 pixels) - this advertisement format is proven to be very effective
- Left Column Ads (Banner size: 200x200 pixels)
- Listing Ads (Banner size: 468x60 pixels) - all listings (all categories) and all search result pages
- Message Confirmation Ads (Banner size: 728x90)

All ads will be rotated according to the number of advertisers per advertisement unit (maximum 30 advertisers per unit). Ads are purchased per week and you can purchase up to a maximum of 3 months with discounts. You can also purchase an advertisement for 1 day but you will need to pay higher (for testing purposes).

Ads prices will be regularly changing (automatic) depending on different factors like:
- advertisers demand
- number of impressions
- number of clicks or effectiveness

Please expect the ads cost to rise as more advertisers purchase their ads spots.

At this present time the company handling our Paid Ads only accept PayPal (credit card) and E-Bullion (via Deposit Funds only) as payment for ads.

Old News: April 2, 2008

This is to inform everyone that Sulit.com.ph's Paid Banner Advertising is temporarily suspended because of a major technical issue that we cannot resolve with the new 3rd party advertisement server.

For everyone's information, the advertisement server was up and under live testing since last Saturday and we were ironing out issues until the night of March 31, 2008. We were able to resolve all integration issues to Sulit.com.ph a few hours before the expected launching of the server by April 1. The new advertisement server was successfully launched a few minutes after midnight of April 1 and everything went fine and we have added all the advertisements of our advertisers.

The problem started by 9am of April 1 during which the server started to show abnormal load spikes when traffic to Sulit.com.ph started to increase. After 3 hours of monitoring and testing, we have decided to take the new advertisement server down as it was creating 10 times more load than the entire Sulit.com.ph. This makes Sulit.com.ph slow and resulted to random errors to some visitors. Stability of Sulit.com.ph is our priority so we have no choice but to sacrifice our paid ads earnings since having a slow system will not also be profitable for us and for our advertisers.

With this, I would like to apologize to all our paid advertisers who have been very supportive to Sulit.com.ph and helping us to provide a wonderful service to the community. Since this is a major technical issue, I cannot guarantee any resolution soon (we were preparing for this for a month and it won't be easy to make changes) so we have decided to give back the payments of all advertisers in full. Please expect a correspondence from us soon so that we can send back your payments to your bank accounts. Again, we are really very sorry for this inconvenience.

Currently, we are part of the wait list for the new Google Ad Manager and we have also applied as a publisher of DoubleClick (also owned by Google). These programs provide an advertisement server for paid ads and hopefully, they can accommodate us soon as these programs have the capacity to support heavy-trafficked websites.

We are really sorry to hear that. Is it possible that Sulit can go back on the old server? Or create another sulit page with paid ads so it wont conflict with the sulit main page?
