Strict implementation of these new rules will start on January 2009 but we request everyone to check and update their signatures now if necessary. Admins will also send signature change requests to those who have signatures that was ok before but currently violate the new rules. SC Penalty will start for these new rules by January 2009.

For those who do not know, signatures are information being appended automatically at the end of user posts/messages. Signatures are being used both in the main website (for premium members) and here in the forum.
To create your signature:
- in the main website, click Manage Signature under Member Menu
- here in the forum, click Profile at the menu above

Recently, there were numerous problems we discovered related to member signatures. Take note that we do allow ads in member signatures but some might have been using it too much making their signatures taking too much space than the message itself. In relation to this, we decided to regulate member's signatures by applying these new signature rules:
1. Maximum length/size of signature (either):
- 5 lines of text using default font size (10pt) OR 3 lines (12pt) OR 1 line (14pt)
OR
- 1 line of banner images and 1 line of text using default font size (10pt)
2. Maximum size of banner image:
- main website: 650 x 120 pixels
- forum: 750 x 120 pixels
3. Maximum size of banner image (total) is 50Kb
4. Signature must not be distracting to the viewers of our web pages
5. NO animated banners (with the exception of Advertisement Ticker 1 being generated by the system)

We will be strictly implementing these rules officially by November. We haven't announced this yet to everyone since we would like to minimize newsletters being sent to all members. As of now, we are giving warnings to those who violate these rules

I would love to have a signature but I'll rather use my sulit currency in the "feature item" page....
