• General Rules
  Sulit.com.ph, as a community-based system, aims for a "self-moderated" community wherein members are allowed to moderate their own posts and also help to moderate posts by other members.  This way, it will be easier to manage a continually growing community.  This is the main reason why Report Buttons are available everywhere. Any member is allowed to report anything that they think is in violation of any rules and policies set for Sulit.com.ph.  Although Admins and Forum Moderators still exist to help moderate the entire community.
  
  Sulit.com.ph aims to be a family-safe website. In order to uphold this goal, all information to be posted or specified within the website must follow these rules:

  • No adult content or any sexual materials.
  • No offensive materials depicting excessive violence
  • No foul, offensive or improper language.
  • No racist, hateful or flaming comments.
  • No reference to any illegal materials and activities.
  • Avoid misleading information.
  • No reference to materials protected by copyright and intellectual property laws without the prior permission from the rightful owner(s).

• System Usage Policies
  1. As a member of Sulit.com.ph, you are responsible for the security of your member account including its username and password.  No member is allowed to share his/her username or password to another user.
  2. Each user is generally allowed only 1 active member account.  Usage of multiple active accounts is only allowed given the following circumstances:
     1. Each account is used to group or categorize advertisements (e.g. one for real estate and one for other ads; one for personal use and one for business)
     2. NO duplicate ads and NO interaction between the accounts
  3. Usage of any services provided by Sulit.com.ph implies that you have read, understood and agreed to all the rules and policies set by Sulit.com.ph.
  4. You, as a member of Sulit.com.ph, will not use the system to violate any governing law (local and/or international).  Any reference or promotion of illegal activities is not allowed in the system.
  5. You are responsible for any content that you contribute to the system.  The opinions expressed by contributing members through their posts submitted to our system are their own and do not represent in any way the views of Sulit.com.ph. Sulit.com.ph bears no responsibility to any of these contents.
  6. Respect the privacy of other people.  Don't give any personal information of other persons without their permissions.
  7. Sending unsolicited e-mails or posting SPAM with links to any part of Sulit.com.ph is strictly prohibited.
  8. Sulit Currencies (SC) are not allowed to be used on any activities outside the standard features of Sulit.com.ph without the permission of Sulit.com.ph.  These activities include (but are not limited to) contests, betting, games, other activities using SC as rewards/prizes and selling SC.
  9. Sulit.com.ph has all the rights to block usage of the system from any member who violates any system rules and policies.

• Classified Ads Posting Rules
  1. Advertisements must be posted in the correct categories.  Site admins and moderators can delete any advertisements not posted in the correct categories.
  2. Each member is not allowed to have 2 similar active advertisements under one Main Category (e.g. Buy and Sell, Real Estate, etc.).  If your advertisement falls in more than one subcategory under a Main Category, select the best and post your advertisement in that subcategory.
  3. Each member is only allowed to post an advertisement similar to his/her previous advertisement if the previous one is already deleted or has already expired.  Deleted or expired advertisements can be easily reposted with a click of a button.
  4. Two or more members are allowed to post similar advertisements as long as these advertisements pertain to different items.  Duplicate advertisements and copying of text and images of other advertisements are strictly prohibited.
  5. Avoid posting multiple, unrelated items in one advertisement.
  6. Do not post any advertisements in the community forum.  Keep all advertisement posts in the main website or in your signature.
  7. Delete any advertisements that are no longer valid (e.g. sold-out items, jobs filled-in).
  8. Always use the correct tags when creating advertisements.  Advertisements with incorrect or irrelevant tags are considered misleading and will be deleted.
  9. Posting advertisements as response message to other advertisements (advertisement hijacking) is not allowed.
  10. Denouncing and prohibiting sale, advertisement or promotion of counterfeit goods, Sulit.com.ph holds you accountable for your own ads and posts that are leading to an infringement of patent and any other rights governed by applicable laws.
  11. Misleading information in advertisements are strictly prohibited.  Misleading information includes, but are not limited to, incorrect pricing, incorrect condition and images unrelated to the advertisement including thumbnails.

• Feedback Posting Rules
  1. Feedback is allowed to be given to any member only after an agreement on a transaction has been made.  Any feedback given to any member prior to an agreement or without any transaction at all is considered as a violation.
  2. As an exception, a no-rating feedback (comment-only) is allowed to be given related to the discussion between the 2 parties but no agreement has been made.
  3. Only feedback related to the transaction is allowed.
  4. Only 1 feedback is allowed per transaction.  A transaction involving a number of items is still considered as only 1 transaction.
  5. As an exception, additional feedback is still allowed within the warranty period of the item or service.  This includes feedback regarding after sales service as agreed by the transacting parties.
  6. Members receiving a feedback can file a dispute by using the corresponding report button.

• Community Forum Rules
  1. Read the General Rules and System Usage Policies as posted above.  These are also applicable in the community forum.
  2. Do not post advertisements in the community forum.  Keep all advertisements in the main website or in your signature.  Posting unrelated links of your website is one form of an advertisement.  Keep those links in your forum signature.
  3. Post topics in the correct category.
  4. Avoid off-topic discussions.  Create a separate topic instead.  Also avoid posts that will "hijack" the discussion from the original topic.  Posts preventing other members to join the discussion must also be avoided (e.g. posts that can be understood by only a few members).
  5. Avoid creating a new topic which has already been discussed.  Use the search functionality of the forum to check if an existing or related topic already exists.  Any member can only create a similar topic to an existing one only if that existing topic is already archived.
  6. Using "ALL CAPS" (all or majority) for Forum Topic Titles or Message Posts are strictly NOT allowed.
  7. Avoid using "Text Speak" or "SMS Language" as it makes reading forum posts difficult.  (Give yourself a favor and know how to type words correctly.  Posts are not limited to 160 characters.) Abbreviation are ALLOWED.
     
  8. Avoid using camel-case text (ThiS Is a sAMplE oF CamEl cASe TeXt) as it also makes reading forum posts difficult.
  9. Use descriptive topic title/subject relevant to the post.
     
  10. Avoid very short and non-sense posts.  Also, avoid excessive use of smilies or emoticons. Smilies or emoticons must not exceed 25% of your message post (an emoticon is considered as a word).  Therefore, message post made up of only emoticons is not allowed.
  11. Avoid non-sense topics or topics which are not really meant for discussion.
      
  12. Posting same messages at different topics multiple times is considered spam and strictly NOT allowed.  Also, multiple posts in succession in a topic is strictly NOT allowed unless you are quoting responses.  If you need to add something in your previous and recent post, edit that post instead.
      
  13. Articles copied from other websites must always contain an attribute link to the address of the copied article.  Copy/Paste articles from other websites NOT worthy for discussion are NOT allowed.
  14. Avoid arguing any moderator-related actions (e.g. closing a topic, moving a topic to a new category, etc.) and penalties given by administrators to reported violations in public.  Any disagreement to moderator-related actions must first be addressed to the moderator or administrator concerned privately (via a private message or email). Unresolved issues related to moderation must then be submitted to the administrator (or other administrators) supported by the positions of both sides.  However, having an argument or debating, disagreeing, or discussing opposing or differing viewpoints against the PERSONAL opinions, suggestions or idea of moderators and administrators are ALLOWED.
  15. Avoid adding irrelevant images to forum posts.
  16. Avoid using languages or dialects other than English or Filipino as a sign of respect to other members who cannot read and understand other languages or dialects.
  17. Be sensible, polite and use common sense when joining any discussion.  Show respect to other members so that they can show respect to you in return.  Discussions should be kept within the spirit of fun, cooperation and information dissemination.
  18. Avoid attacks to any members.  Any public attacks whether explicit or implied will not be tolerated.

• Signature Usage
  Signatures are being used so that default information can be appended at the end of your posts (for premium members only).  Advertisements are allowed in signatures.  As a member of Sulit.com.ph, you must follow these signature requirements:
  

  1. Maximum length/size of signature:
     - 5 lines of text using default font size (10pt) OR 3 lines (12pt) OR 1 line (14pt)
     OR
     - 1 line of banner images and 1 line of text using default font size (10pt)
  2. Maximum height of banner image: 650 x 120 pixels
     
  3. Maximum size of banner image (total) is 50Kb
  4. Signature must not be distracting to the viewers of our web pages
  5. NO animated banners (with the exception of Advertisement Ticker 1 being generated by the system)

• Inactive Members
  All members who have not logged in for the past 12 months (1 year) will have their account automatically inactivated.  Once your account has been inactivated, you will be informed accordingly by the system when you tried to login again. To re-activate your account, you will need to Resend your Activation Code again with the link available in the login page.
  
  Also, the system will inactivate member accounts wherein the corresponding e-mail addresses are bouncing our e-mails due to the following:
  

  • mailbox full
  • e-mail account deactivated
  • e-mail account suspended
  • e-mail domain inaccessible
  • mailserver with technical problems
  • e-mail requiring verification

  
  Once you have fixed the problems with your e-mails, you can resend your activation code again to re-activate your account.
  
  All Members who haven't logged in for the past 6 months will have all their active advertisements automatically archived.

• Sulit Currency (SC) Rewards and Penalties
  Reported penalties/violations, if proven, have corresponding SC (Sulit Currencies) Penalties which will be deducted from the member account of the violator.  The deducted SC amount will be credited to the reported as SC Rewards.  SC Penalties vary depending on the type of violation committed.

• Privacy Policy

  Introduction
  Sulit.com.ph respects each individual’s right to personal privacy.  We will collect and use information through our Web site only in the ways disclosed in this statement.  This statement applies solely to information collected at Sulit.com.ph’s Web site.

  
  

  Part I.  Information Collection
  Sulit.com.ph collects information through our Web site at several points.  We collect the following information about primary visitors: Name and E-mail Address.

  Sulit.com.ph does not actively market to children, and we never knowingly ask a child under 13 to divulge personal information.

  We collect the following general data that is not personally identifiable information: Birthday and Gender.  We collect demographic data in order to perform general analysis of our traffic that can help us improve our system better.

  We collect this information through registration forms and profile update forms.  The information is collected voluntarily.   To receive our services, Name and E-mail Address is mandatory because our system needs a point of contact with our members.  Other information we request is optional. 

  We do employ cookies. A cookie is a small text file that our Web server places on a user’s computer hard drive to be a unique identifier. Cookies enable Sulit.com.ph to track usage patterns and deliver customized content to users.  Our cookies do have an expiration date. Our cookies do not collect personally identifiable information.

   

  Part II.  Information Usage.
  The information collected by Sulit.com.ph will be used for the purpose of getting in touch with the members.  Users who provide information will receive e-mail notification services regarding items posted in our system. 

  Registered users will receive additional announcements from us about products, services, special deals, and a newsletter. Out of respect for the privacy of our users we present the option not to receive these types of communications.

  The information we collect will not be used to create customer profiles based on browsing or purchasing history.  We will not supplement information collected at our Web site with data from other sources.

  We will not share data with any third parties.

  We offer links to other Web sites.  Please note: When you click on links to other Web sites, we encourage you to read their privacy policies.  Their standards may differ from ours.

  Our Web site offers listings, chats, forums or message boards.  Please be advised that information posted in these venues becomes public knowledge. 

  If our policy on information collection or uses changes, we will advise you through our monthly newsletter or by posting an announcement through our forum.

   

  Part III.  Access to Information
  Sulit.com.ph maintains the accuracy of our information.  Users may access their own personal information and change any inaccuracies they may find by updating their profile.  Users may delete their information from our database by updating their profile or sending us a support ticket to inactivate their member account.

   

  Part IV. Problem Resolution
  If problems arise, users may contact Sulit.com.ph by submitting a support ticket in our Help Center.  We are committed to resolving disputes within 24 hours.

   

  Part V. Data Storage and Security
  Sulit.com.ph protects user information by using secure servers.

   

  Part VI. Third Party Advertising

  We use third-party advertising companies to serve ads when you visit our website. These companies may use information (not including your name, address, email address, or telephone number) about your visits to this and other websites in order to provide advertisements about goods and services of interest to you. • How can I report rules violation?
  To report any violation of rules:

  1. Click the corresponding Report icon located on the member profile, classified ads, classified ads message, or private message.
