Why buy a newer model that is more expensive but in reality has more mileage in it? Yes it is newer BUT you should always put into consideration the number of miles the car ran. More mileage at a lesser number of years simply means it has been USED MORE which means the car is more depreciated. I'll give you a concrete example, 2005 model with a 36,000 mileage. Car was used for 3 years (2005-2008), meaning it ran an average of 12,000 kilometers a YEAR , that's a lot of miles. Most of the second hand cars being sold here has a lot of miles in it. When buying second hand cars, do not just be particular with the YEAR and model, be more particular with the MILEAGE, it would show you how USED the car is.
Most Kia Sorento cars being sold have really high MILEAGES, observe and see for yourself.
My car on the other hand is a 2004 model with a 20,000+ mileage, that means my car only ran an average of 4,000-5,000 miles a YEAR.
In short, it's barely used, meaning, it is less depreciated and well maintained at that! All our cars goes straight to the CASA every quarter for a maintenance check. What more can you ask for really? :)
Lastly, when buying/purchasing a Kia Sorento, ask first whether it's LX or EX. LX is the lower and cheaper version.

P60,000.00+ for the accessories I added and other improvements.
Improvements Made/Additions Done:1. Changed Stereo Player from the built-in Panasonic MP3/FM/AM/CD to a
PIONEER MP3/FM/AM/CD/WMA Stereo Player for excellent sound. Comes with a remote control. Worth
12,000.00. The sound of the original panasonic stereo that came with the car was lousy. I had to change it.
2. Fully Tinted, I spent
P7,000.00 to have the entire car tinted.
3. HID lights, HIGH and foglamp. Spent around
P20,000.00 for the HID's. It was oh so worth it. It made the car look so sweeeeet and sophisticated and it made the car stand out all the more on the road at night. The HID's are kinda bluish purple, unlike the common HID's that are just pure white. But it's as bright as it can ever be!
4. 3M floor mats worth around
P3,000-4,500.00.
5. BMW X5 grills, bought this for
P14,000.00, it's worth every single penny! Dozens have been fooled, they seriously thought I was driving a BMW X5! :)
6. Complete feature car alarm system installed with an Anti-hijack feature. You can remotely turn off engine if the car is taken from you. Spent around
P4,000.00 for this.
7. Glass Plate number cover, both front and back plate, for protection and aesthetic purposes. Cost: around
P1,000.00.
8. I am currently waiting for the arrival of the glow gauge I ordered from the U.S. last
month which is probably still stuck at Customs!! Anyway I will take pictures as soon as it arrives
and after I have it installed, It will definitely add to the overall sporty look of the vehicle. The glow gauge is not available anywhere in the Philippines. Another addition that would make this Sorento stand out from all the other Sorentos on the road.
Reason for Selling: Plan to Buy a Mitsubishi Montero. My dad wouldn't allow me to get one until I sell one of our cars to free up some garage space. I still haven't bought the Montero that's why I decided to buy some glow gauge for the Sorento instead haha!
