Is the Welder posted here the same model as the one you have shown on the You Tube video demo? Looks different to me because of the handle design.

Do you have a portable one with more than 200 amps capacity?

I purchased one of this welder. However it did not come with a power cord.

Can I use #12 stranded wire for it. Will it work with a 15A breaker ( household outlet )

I suggest you use either #8 or #10 wire because this is still the traditional transformer arc welding. The input current is still quite high. 15 amperes breaker is not enough. Use at least 60 amp breaker. This unit has a big transformer and is built for heavy use so plugging it in a normal home socket will definitely heat up the wire of your outlet. Normal household outlet is only #14 or #12 wire.

Please use the unit according to these suggested wiring, for safety purposes. Thanks for purchasing the unit.

 Do you think a 60A breaker cap is big for a #10 Royal Cord. How long is the maximum wire lenght that I can use.

I really wanted the Powercraft Inverter Arc welder but was informed that it is not on stock. I will need one asap so I got this one instead.

I appreciate very much your willingness to get our product. Thanks so much for sharing it in the forums.

I only suggested #10 wire so it will be perfectly safe but some of our contractor clients use #12 that extend up to 30 meters long (as seen in the video in youtube) and still the machine can perform.

*I believe I have 1 on reserve for model PTW 200i, it was fairly recently that my display unit was purchased by someone from quezon province. I'll update you asap regarding this. Tnx.

I just started using this welder. So far so good. It's easy to start the arc and welds ok.

For some reason I did not get the manual for the unit. I just need to know the amp settings on the dial switch positions numbered 1 to 7. I presume the highest which is 7 is the max (200A) .

It would be better if a pdf manual is available.

If you are just a DIY then beware of cable and plug/outlet cost ( wiring expenses) . It would be better to get the Powercraft DC inverter stick welder that you can plug to any household outlet specially if you plan to weld in different locations.

Walang prublema po sa 3.2mm 7018. Kayang tunawin ung rod n un. Pero suggest ko kung whole day non-stop use sa 7018 ung 300 amps namen ang mas ok pag dating sa luto ng electrode. Thanks.
