Drums condition
The drums are in mint condition,i keep it show room shine at all times, i take extreme good care of these drums because i love them, all the hardware are super shiny and almost 100% rust free i polish once a week, the skins have only been changed once because i only play bossa nova and light jazz( sessionist for sitti navarro bossa nova singer) so everything is perfect. The shells smell brand new pa rin and are perfect.
About the drums
The pearl session series is a professional level drum set made of a combination of maple and mahogany. maple is known for warm bright tones while mahogany is known for lower end sounds. earth tones characteristics. a combination of woods plus the deep shell size of the drums produces a very versitie drum, you can get many sounds, long warm higher note sustain and low pitch quick or fast sustain. the shells are solid and there are no holes thus letting the drum vibrate fully. Toms are mounted via the pearl i.s.s mounts. The drums will come with super heavy duty hardware that i guarantee will last decades if taken care of. The snare drum alone looks so good (in my taste) signature nalang kulang it can be signature series(see for yourself :) ) in fact the snare has the same specs as many signature snare drums.
FREEBIES: The drums alone i bought for 60k from my friend he bought it for 75k-80k so the freebies are not used to add the the value of the drums ,im giving freebies because thats how i sell talga, i like to give more i dont like low-ballers and cheaters. these are totally free, believe it!
Conclusion: if ur gonna buy entry level yamaha drums or pearl drums for 40k i strongly suggest buy pro level already, the hardware alone is already 20k up,you are free to do research on the net. the snare that comes with this shares the same specs as signature series snare's so instead of buying 30k snare why not add a little and get an entire professional drum set. 48k (final price) is my pricing from asking around and comparing to entry level drum prices (entry level drums come with very weak hardware, cheap parts, cheap wood, entry level drums=entry level sound= not so cheap.
). these are pro drums( recording, concerts etc) no more upgrading or being unhappy with entry level! you may come to see the drums anytime here in commonwealth ave. text or call 09173757020 anytime.

CHARACTERISTICS OF WOOD
maple: most popular wood used because its has the most balanced sound, deep low(bass) evenly balanced mid and high frequency. warm and bright sound.
birch: strong attack, punchy, mid and high frequency. usually combined with other wood.
mahogany: low bass sounds, wood has loose grains so it vibrates slow and produces the low sounds great for bass drum, used in combination with other woods.
basswood: bass /low sounds beacause the wood vibrates slowy. other uses: its popular with artists who use it for carving sculptures etc.
poplar wood: used in entry level drums, this wood is widely grown and inexpensive. other uses for this wood: plywood, paper, matches etc
select hardwood: combination of wood.
To get the best out of the drums you must tune it properly, when tuned properly the charecteristics of the wood or combination of wood will make it self be heard in its full glory. cheaper drums wont give you great sound no matter what tuning or skins you put so now you know.
