The South Forbes Mediterranean Villas features homes inspired by the allure of the Spanish-Mediterranean coast

Model unit brings the outside inside South Forbes Golf City boasts of lush tropical landscaping by renowned landscapist Bobby Gopiao. Palm trees, colorful shrubs, and tranquil water features dot South Forbes' pocket parks.
With such an idyllic setting, when the expertise of interior designers Ivy and Cynthia Almario was tapped by Cathay Land to conceptualize the interiors for the Castellon Villa model unit, the landscaping served as their inspiration. "Literally, we brought the outside to the inside of the house," exclaimed Cynthia.
When a guest sets upon the model unit, the exciting landscape of shrubs and palm trees welcomes him as well. When he enters, lo and behold, an ornate mural of birds and butterflies mingling with the greens catches his attention.
The painting creates the impression that even inside the house, the family is within the realm of nature, Ivy narrated.
The nine-foot high mural, wide open windows, and silk draperies blend well against the champagne gold sofa set the sisters especially commissioned for this unit. Beyond, a mirror set against the dining room creates a sense of more space, and a lanai adds further space where one can indulge in a heavy breakfast and enjoy the fresh morning breeze.
Upstairs, the master's bedroom, in a light blue and white theme, creates a special commune for the homeowners. Spacious closets and a deluxe bathroom adorn the well-appointed room. A balcony leads out of the masters bedroom, where the whole family can commune and gaze at the stars as well as the flickers emanating from South Forbes- bright city lights.
For convenience, the kiddy rooms are set beside the masters. The sisters envisioned the male child to be highly adventurous, so they designed his room with a nautical theme: navy blue, red, and white colors adorn the whole room. From the bed covers to the boat pieces that adorn the walls, as well as the globe that defines the oceans and seas, the young captain will surely enjoy exploring waters high and low.
As for the female child, the sisters came up with a green room. Being females themselves, they wanted the room to be pretty tailored, very feminine in character. That is why yellow and light green flowers beautify the bed linen and the pastel green motif extends to the study area, the computer desk, and the play area too.
California Inspires Design of South Forbes Model Unit
When interior designers Ivy and Cynthia Almario were approached by Cathay Land to conceptualize and implement the interiors of the Mediterranean-inspired Alicante Villa model unit, they immediately visualized how the unit would look like.
"We worked and lived in California for 13-15 years before we settled back here in the Philippines, so the Spanish architecture and interiors of the houses we've visited there served as our inspiration," Cynthia narrated.
Since the Alicante unit comes with a high ceiling, the double volume space allowed the sisters to design a unique trompl'oeil beneath the stairs. The trompl'oeil, a neat row of flowering plants below the stairs and beside the spacious living area, permits a very lighthearted atmosphere within the house.
"We want people to realize they can do this with their unit," added Cynthia.
Guests who view the unit also experience that "wow" and "aahhh" effect when they gaze at the high mural and admire all the action going on at kidney-shaped sofa from the second floor's indoor balcony. The mural highlights the height of the available space, high quality silk fabric and balloon drapes accent the floor-to-ceiling windows, and champagne gold colors give the living room a cohesive look. "We wanted the eyes of visitors to go around, not stuck in just one area," according to Cynthia.

For the master's bedroom, the sisters opted for a relaxing space, that's why restful colors such as light blue and white set the tone.
A luxurious bathroom and spacious closets give the future resident couple quality time together. The sisters imagined the male child to be adventurous in character, so they came up with a nautical theme for him. Boat accessories, navy blue and white bed pieces, and a captain's wheel for a mirror send the kid to a good sea voyage every time he sleeps. Built-in cabinets beside the bed give him enough space for his books and toys.
For the female child, they imagined her to love mornings basking in the sunshine, so they decorated the room with violet sunflowers in white linen as the theme. Her room also has ample study area and even has space for a computer.
Ivy shared, "Residents of South Forbes can actually copy our model unit and do this.
We gave them a high standard to aspire for and realize their dreams. It will be a joy for anyone to see that it's possible."

Cadiz, named after a famous Spanish town, is one of four model Villas which buyers can choose from.

Sevilla is one of the biggest model Villas. It features a spacious terrace beside the master's bedroom.
