WANTED: MENTOR- MEDICAL TRANSCRIPTION

Laboratory Mentor – Medical Transcription
(National Capital Reg - Makati City or St Jude college (Cavite))

Responsibilities:

Studies presentations for laboratory classes and modifies them as needed. Conducts lectures on transcription subjects according to approved curriculum of the MTCA franchise organization. This includes research methods, editing and proofreading. Teaches students basic computer applications and typing skills in accordance with the approved curriculum. Teaches the English and Professional Issues subjects. Evaluates and provides students with feedback regarding their transcriptions on a daily basis. Instructs students utilizing various methods of lecture and demonstration including a variety of audiovisual aids.

Requirements:

Graduate of allied medical course or a medical transcription course from a reputable school At least 6 months Medical Transcription experience from an MT company Preferably with experience in teaching/training In-depth knowledge of medical transcription guidelines and practices (for Mentors). Proficiency with word processing, dictation, and transcription equipment, as well as other equipment as specified. Able to understand diverse accents and dialects and varying dictation styles. Excellent English grammar and punctuation skills Medical Transcription training experience preferred. Willing to work in Makati or Cavite Part time positions are available for those who will be assigned in Makati. (Home-based medical transcriptionists are invited)
