Candidate should have Managed Service solutions exposure in the public sector market: 2nd Line Support Analyst to deliver projects, consultancy and technical support as required to external clients. In execution of your duties, you will:

* Be Responsible for hosted and non-hosted server environments and associated support procedures.

* Work on proactive/preventitive maintenance based tasks, utilizing recognised project management principals.

* Follow approved procedures with regard to change control and documentation standards.

* Fault diagnosis and resolution with end to end management and recording.

* Ensure that reported issues are resolved within customer service level agreements (SLA?s).

* Liaise with business units and 3rd parties to ensure a seamless support service.

* Share knowledge with team members and coach junior members of the team.

* Use of proactive tools to monitor/manage customer servers / desktops & networks remotely.

To be considered, you will need:

* 2-5 years experience providing technical support with an in-depth knowledge of Windows Server 2003 architecture, Microsoft Exchange 2003/2007 and trouble-shooting is essential.

* Some exposure to at least 3 of the following technologies:

SQL Server 2005/2008 Internet Information Server 6/7 Citrix Terminal Server .Net framework 2/3 Network connected storage technologies (SAN/NAS) VMWare Infrastructure administration Active Directory administration Backup technologies and methodology

Any experience supporting Unix, Linux or Cisco systems would be useful

Excellent communication skills are essential as candidates will be expected to deal with customers in a professional manner via telephone and written correspondence. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate a professional attitude and high level of commitment.
