The sole perspective is to effectively eliminate unnecessary heat from the engine of a vehicle once it is turned off. In tropical countries like the Philippine islands and even in some parts of the United States where temperature exceeds 100 degress fahrenheit the engine and its vital systems suffer when heat is trapped inside the engine compartment when it has been turned off and the cooling system stops.
Its like the engine has stopped breathing as far as the cooling system is concerned. This results in voluminous heat temporarily building up inside and outside the engine wearing it down in time. Aluminum power plants are thus highly vulnerable in this condition. All rubber parts in the engine's systems will brittle and break unnecessarily in time, usually less than its projected lifespan because of continuous use in high temperatures. Once the engine has stopped, temperatures will rise to as high as 450 deg.fahrenheit before gradually going down. This takes a lot of time since it is clipped between the low hood and the compartment leaving not much room to breath.
In humans, its the same thing. As you jog for a kilometer or so and then you suddenly stopped to rest just standing up motionless, what you feel is a considerable degree of uncomfortability. The gush of air cooling your body together with your sweat has disappeared and you wait patiently to feel comfortable again. Imagine the heat being trapped inside your engine compartment for several minutes without the cooling system running. its like hell. To add insult to injury, your engine is pinned down by the low aerodynamic hood leaving almost zero space to breath except through the radiator which by the way radiates the same heat from the engine. So what? can you do to stop this. Its amazing though that plastic parts within the motor can withstand such punishment, but for how? long. You will notice that eventually you will need to replace your spark plug wires, vacuum hoses, cables, coolant/ heater hoses, windshield washer hoses.
Even if manufacturers designed engines to take on the heat at all times, you, as the owner could not bear the fact that your precious power plant is left to agonize in a highly cramped environment like a sitting duck. V8 or V6 engines suffer most as there are two cylinder heads instead of one, contributing to the heat in the compartment. Today's engines run hotter to be able to burn unleaded gasoline efficiently. A system will be devised to enable continued operation of the cooling system in the event the motor has been shut off. Fans and radiators are good only when the engine is running.
What kind? of benefit or solution to the problem is expected to be achieved. First of all, there will be rapid engine cooling and normalization. 2) Pressurized coolant will depressurized dramatically, relieving stress from thinning tubings and hoses. 3) Engine wiring fatigue will be reduced. 4) Engine compartment remains fresh and cool even after a gruelling run. 5) Engine components will last longer and will function trouble free. 6) Peace of mind of the car owner. I shall conduct research and development on this technical endeavor.
