Basic Rules In This Forum 

• Use e-mail in sending your extensive questions to reyeslaw.info@gmail.com instead of posting it as private message where the answer maybe delayed as he checks his private messages once a week or sometimes twice a month only
• Write your correct and active e-mail address . Many answers in the past had bounced or unsent due to wrong e-mail address given by sender
• Avoid long winded stories. Write only the basic facts. Make it brief.  He reserves the right not to reply to a very long e-mails given the number of  e-mails that he receives daily
  
• Give your name or at least your first name so that you can be addressed properly
• Separate your questions from facts
• No abbreviated mobile phone SMS/text type of words all capitalized sentences in your narration and questions
• English, Tagalog or Taglish languages questions are allowed
• One time legal consultation only, so write your basic questions clearly
• No continuing advice will be given.  Second answer is optional
• Do not send as attachments to e-mail your evidence or proof as the advice here is preliminary, your full time lawyer will be the one to do the full review of those documents. Summarize in concise format -- if you want to include the basic facts of your legal questions. Observe the use of paragraphs
•  Questions received by e-mail will be treated with strictest confidentiality and will not be posted in this forum.
• He reserves the option to reply to urgent e-mails only  IF there is an extra ordinary volume of e-mails that he received on a particular day (more than 12 e-mails in one day). Sender who did not receive a reply may however re send his/her e-mail if such sender is of the view that his/her e-mail is urgent in nature and deserves to be given a preference over the other e-mails

• Outreach for those who cannot afford to consult a lawyer on their very basic legal questions  or concerns
• Give an alternative but objective preliminary and directional views on pressing legal concerns

• school assignment/acedemic discussions or questions/research
  
• samples of demand letters or templates of legal forms
  
• comments to the opinion of other lawyer to whom the sender had already sought an advice
• and other acts of representation as counsel are not covered by the free legal advice in this posting.

This free  legal advice forum has been in existence since 2009  and  maintained by a full time lawyer who has been a member of the Philippine Bar in good standing since 1991, and in full time law practice for more than 20 years.  

The primary objective of this site is to  help and educate the senders about their rights under existing laws of the Philippines, give them objective views on how some legal processes work in Philippine courts to avoid being victimized by individuals who are giving wrong suggestions or "false quick fix" that has no basis in law and correct court procedure.

Advice that will be given in this site will be preliminary and purely based on laws with practical suggetions, if applicable,  using the counsel's  more than 20 years experience  in numerous fields of laws.

The number of senders, those who viewed this forum, and the almost 10,000 questions and requests for legal advice that were answered here  by the counsel (mostly by e-mails) for the past  4 years of existence of this forum are living testimonies to the counsel's  drive, passion, and dedication to help netizens who are in need of quality free legal advice.

Important Reminders

All answers and views given here are purely academic discussions on each questions posted or sent via e-mail and do not create a client and attorney relationship to the extent of actual court or out of court representation and as legal advisor on all related problems of the sender.

The answers are preliminary and his personal professional views only based on basic laws, and his professional experience on the subject of inquiry. The given advice or answers should not be used as reference or passed upon to a lawyer or third party to contradict the view of other lawyers since each lawyer has his own professional views,  approach, and strategy on how to provide or suggest a legal solution to each particular legal problem.

For all questions sent through e-mail, he will try his best to send an official reply or comments within  reasonable time taking into consideration the urgency of the inquiry and the volume of e-mails that he receives daily, except when he is on travel, or the question was sent on a Sunday, during holy week, Christmas break from December 23 to January 3, (offline during those periods) or there is a heavy volume of inquiries where reply will be selective and priority will be given to those with urgent problems/legal concerns.

For those e-mails that will not be replied or did not receive a reply such  may due to heavy volume of the e-mails that I received or still pending and has to exercise my option to select only those most urgent e-mails that need a reply.  You may however re send your email if you feel that I overlooked its urgent nature. I therefore ask for your kind understanding if I ever overlooked the urgency of your mail.

Also, in case my e-mail will unfortunately be hacked and you will receive an odd or spam e-mail soliciting money as token from previous advice that you received or as fee for "additional legal advice" please DISREGARD it as it is most likely coming from unauthorized person. Kindly call my attention by sending e-mail to me or by posting such concern in this forum so that I can immediately take the proper remedial measures.

Finally,  if the resources of the sender will permit, and it is worth doing -- given the nature of the case and interest or rights of the client involved -- it will be to his/her best interest to get the services of a full time lawyer of his/her own choice in his/her area to have a much deeper and extensive analysis of the intricacies of the case especially those complicated problems that will require a thorough analysis, and interview to get the compelete facts of the case.
