MINIMUM REQUREMENTS:
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in Engineering (Mechanica, Chemical, Industrial), or equivalent.
Knowledge in Regulators, Relief Valves, and Pilots will be an advantage
Background in Petroleum, Gas, Power, or similar industries
Basic knowledge on general PC applications
Experience in encoding, lay outing and web design will be an advantage
Technical Documentation/Writing experience will be an advantage
Proficient in MS Office applications
Knowledge in Adobe products (i.e. Pagemaker, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat, et.al.) will be an advantage
Knowledge in XML, HTML and Web development software will be an advantage
Result oriented
Ability to adapt to new tasks and projects
Can work with less supervision
Effective Team player
Proficient and effective written skills in English language.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, corporate procedures/regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Provide Technical Documentation for the Regulator division.
Creates new documents, writings, and illustrations based on Regulators Product Information and Specification (e.g. instruction manuals, bulletins, handbook pages, etc).
Put technical information about Regulator Products into writing and easily understandable language.
Prepare standard and customized operating and maintenance manuals, catalogs, parts lists, assembly instructions and sales promotion materials as described and requested by the client/s.
Work with engineers of the Regulator Division from various Emerson facilities worldwide (United States, EMA and APAC ) and the, on technical subject matters to prepare written interpretations of engineering and design specifications and other information for a general readership.
Plan and edit technical materials and oversee the quality and accuracy of illustrations, photographs, diagrams, numbers and charts.
Read Engineering Masters and query database to check part numbers.
Ability to understand assembly drawings and to be able to write disassembly and re-assembly steps using two-dimensional drawings.
Follows team’s defined process and procedures and company policies.
Ensures that required information is logged into indicator sheet for accountability of activities.
Escalate out of scope issues to team lead.
Reports to team lead and to Account Manager of the things possible areas for improvement.
Performs the role within given timescales (Service Levels), efficiently and effectively.
Develops and maintains a full (technical) knowledge of client objective and services.
Logs and records all documents accurately and in line with procedures as set by the team.
Meets specified volume/production targets agreed by individual project
Maintains and updates all administration activities.
Contributes to other projects if requested.
