For all those who do not know about the Taxi Franchise:

1. The franchise paper has no expiration.
2. The vehicle or unit described in the papers is the one with the expiration of maximum 15 years.

3. Once the vehicle or unit already reached the maximum years allowed by the ltfrb, a new vehicle or unit is needed for another 15 years agreement.

With regards to my unit, the agreement is until 2009 but still extendable up to 2011 as this is a 1996 year model vehicle.  However, the need for Lpg kit and certificate are needed to extend the date up to 2011.  The update decision is not yet released by the court and still a good opportunity for buyers who want to change the franchise name and can save up to 12,000 php processing fee.  All the vehicle needs right now are the lpg certificate and inspected by the ltfrb to have the franchise extend up to 2011 and at the same time, the name of the buyer will be the new owner of the franchise itself or to change the vehicle or unit to extend the date for another 15 years and the name be changed to the new owner.
