Instructions:
1. Register or create an account as Freelance Provider / Provider.
2. Complete your profile. The more skills you have the better.
3. Take oDesk Readiness Test For Independent Contractor.
but before you take the test, they will require you to download oDesk application. Download it.
4. Once you passed the test, go to the Payment tab portion, select mode of payment you want (I use debit card - payoneer and paypal)
5. Apply for a job!

Additional Option:
1. You may take other test that are applicable to you, some of the buyer (client) requires other tests.
2. As a new oDesk provider you may choose $1-$3 as your rate, Upon gaining more and more experience you can gradually increase it. (not because you put an amount as your rate in your profile, in does not mean that it will be your rate every project.  You have to bid every jobs/projects.) Some of the buyer choose the lower bidder.  So bid accordingly.
3. When applying I suggest you choose the hourly rate as a beginner not the fixed price.
