Description
The P-018 is a military automatic pistol which combines functionality with very strong design and ergonomic features.The most important characteristics are a forged all-steel frame, double-action lockwork and a magazine capacity of 16 rounds. The barrel is made of forged and hardened steel. The P-018/9 in 9 mm parabellum chambering has been specially built for use by military and police forces.The pistol is a semi-automatic double-action design, with the breech locked on discharge. The outline is squared-off but compact and the trigger guard is shaped for a two-handed grip. The magazine holds 16 rounds in staggered column, plus one round in the chamber. The P-018 is said to handle well, being well-balanced and to have a relatively soft recoil because of the block locking system employed.The pistol can be carried cocked with the safety applied; the safety lever will also decock the hammer and acts as a slide stop to facilitate disassembly.
