Service and Support HP offers a one-year limited warranty for PCs as part of HP Total Care, the service and support program recently recognized by JD Power and Associates for consistently providing an "Outstanding Customer Service Experience." HP Total Care delivers real-time chat with support agents, as fast as one-hour email response and toll-free 24x7 technical support both in and out of warranty. Pricing and Availability • Estimated U.S. street price starting as low as $949.(16) All notebook pricing is before a $50 rebate, depending on the configuration ordered. • Intel based systems are expected to be available for purchase in May direct from www.hpshopping.com and select retail outlets nationwide. AMD based systems are expected be available in the first half of FY’06 from the same outlets. (1) (2) Approximately 1,024MB of the hard drive is dedicated for QuickPlay and will not be user accessible. QuickPlay available in North America only for Compaq Presario models. (3) High-definition content (for example, WMV HD files) is required to view high-definition images. Most current DVDs do not provide high-definition images. (5) This system requires a separately purchased 64-bit operating system and 64-bit software products to take advantage of the 64-bit processing capabilities of the AMD "X" 64 processor. Given the wide range of software applications available, performance of a system including a 64-bit operating system will vary. (Note: "X" will be the name of the appropriate AMD processor.) (6) Battery life will vary depending on the product: model, configuration, loaded applications, features and power management settings. The maximum capacity of the battery will decrease with time and usage. Protection of the OS or applications may not be enabled by default. After properly installing the appropriate operating system release, users must enable the protection of their applications and associated files from buffer overrun attacks.
