Cooling Tower Wash Spinning Nozzles |    COOLING TOWER WASH SPINNING NOZZLES | The new SpinFree Nozzle produces a near perfect square pattern, which provides balanced water loading. These two features increase thermal performance in cooling towers and other cooling equipment by 10 - 12% by simply changing out the water nozzles. Round pattern nozzles produce an umbrella like pattern and are plagued with void areas. If you were to position these nozzles evenly over a square configuration, 22% of the area would be void of water because circles cannot mesh evenly. The SpinFree nozzle has four major design features that each will contribute significant value to the operations of cooling towers and other heat transfer equipment. - Square Spray Pattern
- The SpinFree nozzle produces a square water distribution pattern, which will increase thermal performance by 10% to 12%.
- Variable Flow Capabilities
- The SpinFree nozzle has variable flow capability with a 2 to 1 turn down ratio, allowing pumps to be > cycle off during cool climatic conditions or when loads demands are down.
- Operates Just 3" off the Surface
- The SpinFree nozzle operates only 3” above the fill media reducing structural height requirements in new tower construction. Also this feature reduces tower pump head by approximately (2) ft.
- Low Pressure Operation
- The SpinFree nozzle operates at a sweet spot of only (1) lb of pressure as compared to 2lbs or more for other nozzles.

|  | NOZZLE SPECIFICATIONS
Nozzles are provided ribbed sintered bronze filters on sizes up through 1.35 GPH. Larger sizes are equipped with 120 mesh strainers. Large Capacity (LC) nozzles are supplied as “tips only”. All nozzle components are fabricated entirely of a special high chrome, heat resistant grade of stainless steel. Sintered filters are made of bronze and are nominally rated for filtration to 40 microns. Mesh screens are of Type 304 stainless steel on brass support pieces. |
|  | STRAINERS & FILTERS Nozzle strainers are available in all configurations and are supplied standard on flow rates of 1.50 and above. Bodies are brass, although stainless steel bodies are available on special order. Sintered bronze filters rated to 40 micr ons are supplied on all nozzles of 1.35 & below. All strainers and filters ar e made with a 3/8"-40 UNS male thread to match the nozzle. |
