About Municipality of Bacoor
Bacoor is composed of 73 barangays. The population of Bacoor reached 250,821 according to the 1995 figures of the National Statistics Office. Population density is 4,787 persons/sq.km. and the average annual growth rate is 9.45%. A catch basin from the spill-over population of Metro Manila, Bacoor posted an urbanization rate of 100%. The opening of the Aguinaldo Boulevard, formerly called the Manila-Cavite Coastal Road, and its proximity to Metro Manila resulted in the fast-growing in-migration to Bacoor. Several bacoor house and lot properties have been sprouting all throught out the municipality.
Bacoor has one main postal and telecommunications office situated near the town hall in addition to the private communications offices of PT&T, LBC, RCPI, and JRS. Radio and television stations are easily accessible in Bacoor. Printed materials such as newspapers, magazines, etc. are also readily available. The Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company (PLDT) provides telephone communications services to around 55% of the total households. The balance of 45% is serviced by Globe Telecoms and Digitel, relatively new telephone companies. Cellular phone users in inland barangays such as Molino, Ligas and San Nicolas are also increasing considerably.
