Very nice piece sir!!! up lang po naten..
hehehe...marami talagang magaling. Buy a brandnew, original Colt from a gunstore and you will know the difference. Series 80 pistols have firing pin stops to prevent the gun from discharging when the hammer accidentally drops forward without the trigger being pulled. I have yet to see a laser engraved Colt. Sa SW 1911 yes they are laser engraved. For info lang po. Nice piece sir.
your right sir that's one of the unique features of series 80 amongst the other colt 1911 up to series 70, the "firing pin block" that so many shooters find it as a defect rather than an enhancement, they believe it causes malfunction, but for me the Colt have more studies and researches before they incorporate that additional feature for their on pistol, not to mention rigid testing, so i think the incident of malfunction was purely a myth..or negligence of the gun owner of not properly maintaining his/her pistol, so for me ill let my firing block working & just clean your pistol relgularly to minimize or eliminate malfunction....
a piece of advice, if you change your trigger with an over-travel stop, make sure that the lever that disengages the firing stop can adequately move up to actuate it, otherwise the firing pin wont strike the ammos primer and you'd have a misfire. If a piece is not broken, dont fix it. Sir hdrider, honestly, kung di lang sana cut yong slide for the Bomar (meaning stock yong baril) iniutang ko na sana baril nyo hehehe...but still a very nice piece...up!

sir question lang po! sir sa safety po!ok lang po ba ung load chamber and haftcacked,or cocked and lock? mas sefe po ba ang haft cock? thanks po!
the half cock is designed to intercept the trigger if it accidentally drops. better get a double action-type pistol if youd wish to carry a pistol with a loaded chamber. A single-action pistol like the 1911 have softer trigger pull compared to DAO/DA-SA, making it more prone to discharge to less-experienced operators.
penge ako mags ng super 38....
