Hi! I'm Mykel, a college student here in Metro Manila. I would like to keep my whole name confidential for the reason that I don't want to pubicly endorse it online and keep away from the "bad" guys.
I want to form an organization, composed of college/ university students, which will help me in my endeavor to help our fellow Filipinos in times of crisis. I know it would be hard to discuss this matter online, but it would be easier if I get to know those who are interested in founding this group, through a planned meet-up of soon-to-be "founders" of this organization.
We will be conducting activities/ operations/ movements which would boost funds and use these funds to aid victims of calamities, especially those "maltreated" by Ondoy and Pepeng. This body will visit places anywhere around the Philippines - as long as there is a need to go there and there is a sufficient supply of funds (raised and collected). We will also team up with various student organizations in Metro Manila when organizing these activities.
I am looking forward to making this national, but first let us start with the basic "small" community (microscale level) - ironically, Metro Manila. We'll look for a venue to place our HQ, (where we can conduct meetings and fun-oriented activities), and begin making drafts for our mision and vision. Requirements for founding members:
-citizenship: FILIPINO
-studies and/ or here in Metro Manila
-age: 15-24 y/o (subject to modification)
-MS, PhD students can qualify depending on age of application
-150-word (max) essay stating your reason for joining (in MS Word softcopy)
-also, e-mail your:
location (not specific, just "city"), school/ college/ university you are currently into, age, contact information (mobile, e-mail, ym)
-COMPULSORY: passion, dedication and perseverance

We don't need to be good-looking just to help others.
We don't need to follow the way some politicians do just to give food and other aids.
We don't need to be like them just to decipher the true meaning of the three Rs.
