XOP lively showband for your Christmas party

From Ordinary People to X.O.P. meaning ex-Ordinary People or as the audience describes them extraordinary people—awesome as it is, wanting to project and live up to their name. As far as live performances are concerned, they are just…XTRAORDINARY! X.O.P. has consistently come up with the most spectacular, innovative, exciting and successful performances. Through the years they continue to be one of the most talked-about variety bands not only in the Philippines but also in different countries such as Japan, Malaysia, Singapore and U.S.A.

The group’s repertoire caters to all social classes and age ranges; from the sensational music of the 70’s to the magnificent music of the 80’s and up to the awesome music of the 90’s, including phenomenal top 40 hits of the new millennium. Debuting with a performance at the VIRGIN CAFÉ Makati in January 1999 as the band Ordinary People, the ordinary band has come a long way…and became X.O.P. in September 2001, since then numerous gigs have followed here and abroad until today. To date, the band has performed in the following venues: CONWAYS at the MAKATI SHANGRI-LA HOTEL, CONSERVATORY at The MANILA PENINSULA HOTEL, LE BOULEVARDIER at INTERCONTINENTAL MANILA, STREET LIFE in Glorietta Mall, QUISINE at 6750 Building, COSMO Bar & Grill, BG’S Bar & Grill and TRAVESSIA, BEDROCK Makati Bar & Grill, STREETSCAPE at the SHANGRI-LA PLAZA, GILLESPIE’S Bar at the EDSA SHANGRI-LA HOTEL, WATERING HOLE Shangri-la Plaza, FORUM at the Podium Mall, FRIENDS at the Square, El Pueblo Area, CHEF AND BREWER Ortigas Center, 8TH DAY Bar at St. Francis Square, LIMITS Entertainment Hall & Disco and ARUBA at Metrowalk.

The biggest achievement of the band came in August 2006, when they worked for Walt Disney Company in United States of America after being selected from hundreds of Filipino bands that auditioned in the Philippines. They were the first Filipino band that performed and take center stage in the cruise ship DISNEY MAGIC.

Recently, X.O.P. performed for 6 months in The Tiger Tavern @ Carmen Club at the Bayview Hotel Georgetown Penang, Malaysia from October 1, 2008 to March 30, 2009.
