This Highway Star edition arrived with the complete OE sports flaring kit from Japan and is a best seller in the limousine van category. It's an original 1998 (as attested in the manufacturing date). Don't let the others tell you they're selling you a 2002 and above model (that's the start of the Gen 2 series).

This Generation 1 offers the following features:
* 3200 cc QD32ETI turbo intercooler diesel (same engine as the Nissan Frontier Pick-up) with a 4 speed automatic full range electronic control transmission. No overheating, no oil leaks. Goes through regular maintenance and service.
* No problems with the emission controls on yearly registration. Euro-compliant. Non-smoke belching.
* Quick, economical and quiet for the city and highway driving.
* Long range 76 liter tank and rear wheel drive.
* 8 passenger seating in living room comfort in the city and long distance runs.
* Non-smoking car (used to bring children to school and executives to work)
* Original Platinum Silver paint, standard on all Highway Stars.
* Twin sunroof (pop-up front / sliding power rear) with sunshades (no leaks)
* Stock front and surround-rear split climate control airconditioning .
* Power steering / windows / door locks / mirrors and hermetic sealing for the rear doors.

* Conversion is good. No problems with the steering and camber conversion. It has been brought out of town on provincial runs several times at highspeed with no wiggles, over or understeering.

Slight modifications and imperfections
* Navigation system was removed to give way for additional aircon vents for driver and passenger.
* 4 speakers were removed and changed (paper cones disintegrate with age)
* Slight dashboard paint chip that can be easily rectified. Fascia is good and clean.
* Twilight sensor for headlights not functioning but can be restored.
* Radial tires (215x65xR15) still have good thread wear to last 3 months or so (plenty of that around)
* Original matting somehow disappeared during shipment. Carpet though is original.

RFS: We bought this for the children some 3 years ago and now that they are growing and starting to go on their own "lakads" the van is now seldom used. Our out of town trips which are now less frequent in the past year.

Others are selling the regular models, G, X or V series, at 420,000 (same year)
