The V280 is a slim line candybar handset styled after the recently introduced SLVR V8. The V280 has the same basic functionality as the SLVRlite V270 that it was launched alongside of. This includes Bluetooth and Push-To-Talk instant voice communications.

On top of that, the SLVRcam V280 adds a VGA camera with a 4x digital zoom function. The camera also has the ability to record video clips. Still photos and video clips can be used in the V280's MMS editor so you can send them to friends and family. The V280 also supports the Wireless Village instant messaging client, when used on a network with that service.

MP3 ringtones can be downloaded and used with the V280's 24 voice polyphonic sound system, and the SLVRcam v280 also supports Picture Caller ID on its bright color display. Like other members of the SLVR family, the V280 can be charged from a USB port on your PC.
