Laguna De Bay Lobster, also called Red Claw Freshwater Lobster originating from Australia, is a freshwater crayfish looked very similar to a seawater lobster you can find in a restaurant. Because of its great value, it has been identified as a promising specie for inland aquaculture for philippine (The FishSite Latest News,Agriculture Business Week ...) Now this lobster is within your reach. You will find it a perfect fit to your household sideline
Laguna De Bay Lobster provides multiple values. It’s low fat content and rich tritions (protein, …) prove it a good source of high quality food. Moreover , Laguna De Bay Lobster is a great pet. It’s colorful and yet erratic lobster appearance will surely liven up any tank. Most importantly, Laguna De Bay Lobster is inexpensive and easy to care for. They feed on plant matter, worm, and, even vegetables—essentially, whatever falls to the bottom of the tank. All you need is to raise them in freshwater with a forgiving range of temperature (6-33 ºC) and pH (6.5 - 9), conditions readily available in the philippines. Starting from raising hatchlings, you can expect to harvest the lobsters in 6-12 months. Most of them will be 50-150 grams (about 12 cm to 20 cm long). Some will even reach 600 grams! These lobsters will be excellent for reselling or simply provide you with great fun and nutrition to the family.
