Description of Benefits

MEDICAL EXPENSE

Reimburses expenses incurred overseas due to sickness or accidents you suffered during the trip.

MEDICAL EVACUATION

Arranges for the most appropriate means to evacuate you to another location for medical treatment or return you to the Philippines

REPATRIATION EXPENSE

Arranges and pays for the expenses to return the mortal remains to the Philippines in the event of death due to sickness or accident during the trip. Expenses include cost of (1) transporting the remains (2)service/supplies provided by the mortician.

PERSONAL ACCIDENT

Provides P1,000,000 lump sum benefit for death or disablement due to accident suffered during the trip.

CHILD GUARD

Arranges and pays for transportation and accommodation expenses of an adult family member to take care of minor children who are traveling with you and accompany them home in the event you are hospitalized during the trip.

COMPASSIONATE VISIT

Arranges and pays for the transportation and accommodation expenses of an adult family member if you are hospitalized during the trip.

BAGGAGE DELAY

Reimburses purchase of necessary clothing and toiletries if checked-in baggage is delayed for more than 12 hours.

TRIP CANCELLATION

Pays for loss of travel fare and/or accommodation expenses paid in advance and not refundable in case trip ad to be cancelled due to the following events occurring within 30 days before the scheduled date:

Death, serious injury or sickness of the Insured Person, spouse, patient, parent-in-law, child, grandparent, brother, sister, business partner or co-director who is a resident of the Philippines

BAGGAGE AND PERSONAL EFFECTS

Loss: Pays actual or replacement cost of baggage due to theft.

Damage: Repairs or reinstates baggage (with allowance for depreciation, wear and tear) damage while in the possession of the hotel staff or common carrier.

FLIGHT DELAY

Reimburses expenses in flight is delayed for more than 12 hours due to severe weather conditions, strike of airline personnel or equipment failure of aircraft.

LOSS OF TRAVEL DOCUMENTS

Reimburses costs of addition hotel, travel and communications expenses necessary in obtaining replacement of lost passport or visa.

PERSONAL LIABILITY ABROAD

Covers you against legal liability for bodily injury or property damage to third parties due to your negligence.

Important Policy Conditions 

1.   Coverage commences two hours before schedule departure and ceases upon return to the Philippines or upon expiry of policy, whichever comes first.

2.   If enrolling for individual coverage:

•  Adults up to the age of 70 years old and entitled to 100% of all benefits
  
•  Accompanied children from 1 to 18 years old are entitled to 100% of all benefits
  
•  Unaccompanied children from 1 to 18 years old are entitled to 50% of Personal Accident Benefits and 100% of all other benefits
  

3.   Family coverage includes named insured, spouse and accompanied children between 1 to 18 years old.

4.   If enrolling for family coverage: 

• Coverage for spouse is equal to the coverage of the principal insured. 
  
• Coverage for children is the same as principal insured except for the Personal Accident Benefit which is only 25%
  
• Maximum benefit under the family Plan will not exceed 200% of the Personal Accident Benefit and 300% of all other benefits
  

5.   Maximum period of coverage is 180 days. No extension is allowed.

6.   Premium refund is not allowed once policy has been issued.
