About the instructor...

Ms. Karen Jean Santos is a professional makeup artist and an instructor. She's a graduate of Basement Academy for beauty make-up under Cheryl Cabanos (US Trained and Celebrity Makeup Artist for Bridal, Glamour and Photography Makeup), Nina Dumpa (Hollywood Trained Celebrity Makeup Artist for Avante Garde and High Definition) and Georginna Desuasido (TV and Print, High Definition Makeup).

She worked for M.A.C Powerplant Rockwell as a counter manager and makeup artist. She underwent extensive product and makeup application trainings with Owen Sarmiento, MAC Philippines Resident Trainer and Basic School Training with Huang Hui Mei, MAC Singapore Trainer.

She also did makeup for celebrities, fashion editors, VIPs and stage actors. For more than 2 years, she has been rendering her services for weddings, debuts and special events like plays, fashion shows, corporate functions and parties. Some of her clients are ABS CBN Star Magic Talents, MEGA Magazine, Meralco Chorale, Pfizer Pharmaceutical, Chevron Inc, Alveo by Ayala Land, Filinvest Premiere, Toyota, Asian Development Bank, Bank of the Philippine Islands and Nuvoland Sales Inc.

Her passion for teaching was evident as she started conducting basic makeup workshops at MAC Rockwell for C.A.S (Center for Aesthetic Studies) students and to all her MAC Clients who regularly purchase products she recommends. She likewise underwent basic skin care training at MAC Cosmetics.

Currently, she and her partners (photographer and makeup artist) put up a studio in Ortigas and manage Chrome Photography and Makeup services. Catering to more clients for Family, maternity, New-born, Barkada and Individual photoshoots.
