FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

1.Is waxing safe for sensitive skin?
Yes. GiGi took the time and care to develop waxes that will suit every skin type, hair type and even specific areas of the body. Although GiGi’s world-famous All Purpose Honee formula is good for all skin types, the recommended waxes for particularly sensitive skin are Lavender Crème Wax and Milk Chocolate Crème Wax. For sensitive skin that’s dry at the same time, recommended are Tea Tree Crème Wax and Hemp Wax. Facial Honee Wax is for use on the face, while Dark Honee is for coarse hair.

2. Can I do the waxing procedure myself? 
It is not recommended. GiGi developed its products as an entire system, which includes the procedures and techniques. Without the proper training and technique, you will not achieve maximum results.

3. Is it safe for the face too? 
Definitely. Facial Honee Wax specifically developed for the hair and skin on the face. No more guessing which wax to use.

4. How can I make sure I will be waxed safely and effectively? 
Ask questions! Make sure that your aesthetician is properly trained in the waxing service you wish to have done and that the system the establishment is using is complete. Make sure the length of hair is sufficient for the service. The correct length is at least a third to half an inch. Do not have yourself waxed if you are undergoing any type of skin treatment such as peeling, bleaching, etc. Do not have yourself waxed if you have a known skin condition such as psoriasis, eczema, rashes, etc. 

5. Can I wax as often as every week? 
It is not recommended. Give the hair enough time to grow to the proper waxing length which usually takes 3-4 weeks. If the hair is too short there might not be enough hair for the wax to hold on to so there might be leftover hairs.

6. How long does it take for hair to grow again after waxing? How long will I enjoy smooth, hair-free skin before I have to have it done again? 
The regular time for hair to grow back to the waxable length is 3-4 weeks. GiGi has several maintenance products that you can use in between services. Slow Grow is a fast absorbing lotion that inhibits the formation of new hair (known as keratinization). There’s also the No Bump RX Body Treatment which eliminates and prevents ingrown hair, bumps, razor burn and redness. It is even ideal for men.
