Job Title: Planner/Scheduler

Requirements/Qualifications:
College Diploma or equivalent in Operations Planning, Shop Floor Control or Production and Inventory Control
Twelve years of working experience in a manufacturing environment
Expert level understanding of critical path scheduling and or Network Diagram Planning
Expert knowledge of planning programs (i.e. Primavera)
Sound knowledge of scheduling tools and software in a variety of business environments
Understanding of project management processes (i.e. Earned Value, Cost Performance)
Working knowledge of mechanical drawings
Knowledge of Quality Procedures and exposure to the ASME code
Excellent communication, organization, conflict resolution and interpersonal skills
Job description:
Develop and maintain manufacturing plans based on fabrication outlines, drawings or historical information.
Maintain fabrication plans in common shop plan in order to provide input for MGLS (Manufacturing Gross Load Schedule) for financial forecasting purposes.
Develop and maintain a shop manpower plan by skill and make recommendations for increase or reductions as required.
Monitor proposal progress and update the plan as required.
Develop and Communicate work list at critical facilities, research status of job and expedite upstream activities as necessary to support schedules.
Produce recovery schedules, review with shop personnel, communicate status changes and integrate with the overall shop plan as required.
Ensure the timely availability of materials to support schedules, review work orders and materials, issue, schedule purchase requisitions, and coordinate with Supply Management as required.
Help resolve shop issues and identify potential capacity issues in order to reduce risk and exposure.
