THE COMPANY:

EXCELLENT Community CARE Center, founded in October 22, 1999, is a Custodial Psychiatric Rehabilitation Facility duly accredited by the Department of Health (DOH). The Homecare caters to persons with psychiatric/mental disorders such as Schizophrenia, Depression, Mania, Bipolar Disorders, Drug Detoxification and Rehabilitation, and other psychiatric concerns.

VISION/MISSION:

To make a difference in the care and management of persons with Mental Disorders and other psychiatric concerns. Providing the best mental and psychiatric services available to the individual, family and/or community through  highly motivated, empowered, caring and competent psychiatric team. Being an instrument in the creation of a warm accepting home-like environment that will enhance fast recovery- a haven for its “residents” to regain their self esteem particularly the trust and confidence not only in themselves but also to others. More over, to be an excellent venue for training and education: “where caring truly spells the big difference…!”


LOCATION and ACCESSIBILITY:

While most of the so-called private psychiatric rehab facilities or Homecares are located in residential areas, occupying old, dark houses and are seemingly hiding from the public eyes, EXCELLENT Community CARE Center is the only psychiatric rehab center situated in a highly commercial area and can be found in the heart of San Francisco Del Monte, Quezon City. This affords its residents a view of "real everyday life" by just peeking out of the window. The Center’s home is a 3-level, 3-unit commercial building, located at 141 Roosevelt Avenue, Barangay Paraiso, San Francisco Del Monte, Quezon City. EXCELLENT Community CARE Center is very accessible by any available land transportation. It can be reached by approaching either thru Quezon Avenue or EDSA-Munoz or even Frisco Del Monte Avenue. It is also near other major government hospitals such as Veterans Medical Center, Philippine Orthopedic Hospital, Philippine Children Hospital, the Kidney. Lung and Heart Center of the Philippines.


AMENITIES:

ECCC Homecare has a pocket garden with 2 fish tanks filled with different variety of tropical fishes such as Koi, goldfish, hammerhead sharks, dragon fins, red caps, etc. It has mini falls and fountains to provide a sense of tranquility. the garden has a small coffee shop called BARESCAfe' Garden which doubled up as canteen for the residents. At the BARESCAfe' Garden, the residents may either relax, read the papers or receive their visitors while having a snack. Our multi-purpose hall serves as our activity area for indoor games and activities, with audio-video and entertainment equipment. there is also a mini gym, ping-pong and a pool table which keep our residents productively preoccupied most of the time.


ACTIVITIES and THERAPIES:

EXCELLENT Community CARE Center, despite being in a commercial area has a home-like ambience where its “residents” are treated members of one big happy family. The staff  provides  therapeutic environment and conducts social, spiritual and recreational activities. The Occupational Therapy teaches the residents some skills for them to earn a living such as; foot rug and pot holder-making, food preparations (Leche Flan, Tocino and Longganisa, and others), The Activities of Daily Living (ADL) enable the residents to be self reliant and be functional at home as it teaches them self care and some house chores.


AWARDS/RECOGNITIONS:

The effort of making a difference in psychiatric homecare through caring since 1999 has been recognized by the National Consumers Quality Awards and the People’s Choice Awards when it bestowed upon EXCELLENT Community CARE Center the recognition as 2003 TOP PSYCHIATRIC REHAB CENTER at U.P. Theater, Diliman, Quezon City last July 19, 2003. Likewise, the Center was honored and privileged with the visit of the 17-man delegates from the University of Malaysia, Sabah in January 14, 2009. Composed of graduate students In psychology and social work. the Malaysian visitors was headed by Dr. Shuaib Chie Din, MD. The good Doctor did not contain his enthusiasm when he wrote: "Thank you for the hospitality given. I was impressed of your good work and devotion of your staff. keep up the good work and I look forward to work with you in the future! the Center and owner were both featured in ABS-CBN's Rated K of Korina Sanchez last January 25, 2009


ABOUT THE OWNER:

RAOUL A. GAYOTIN RN, MAN, is a nurse by profession, with 18 years of actual clinical practice at the National Center for Mental Health (NCMH), from Staff Nurse in August 1983 to Nurse Supervisor in  SPECIAL Clinical Areas, such as the Research Ward and ACIS. He was also   designated Program Director of the Center of Wellness Program of the Community Service,  also in NCMH until his early retirement in 2001.

A passionate man and a leader with many talents, Mr. Gayotin had pioneered work and headed most of the special areas or programs and activities of NCMH, particularly those of the Nursing Service at the Research Ward, Admission and Crisis Intervention Section (ACIS), the Psychiatric Day Care Center and the Center of Wellness of the Community Service, all at NCMH.

he has more than 20 years of clinical teaching experience as clinical instructor in the field of psychiatric nursing and supervises the affiliation of nursing students from various schools and universities, both in Metro Manila and provinces.

A highly respected resource person, speaker and motivator in various seminars and trainings related to mental health concerns/issues, psychosocial processing, psychiatric nursing and even on topics about nurse-entrepreneurship in the communities and colleges in Metro Manila and provinces. Mr. Gayotin's latest speaking engagement was at the Philippine Nurses Association National Convention held at the Waterfront Hotel in Cebu City last October 25, 2011.


ACHIEVEMENTS and AWARDS:
