Qualifications:

Male

30-50 years old

College Graduate

Two years experience at a Supervisory level in a production function in a manufacturing environment

Experience in an ISO 9000 accredited company

Ability to influence and persuade all levels of the organization

Pragmatic problem-solving skills

Articulate communicator and ability to interpret and explain written and statistical data

High standard of attention to detail

Microsoft Office skills like Word, and Excel

Ability to manage time and prioritize work

Ability to make immediate decisions

Job Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Production Manager, the Assistant Production Manager will assist in the supervision and coordination of all activities of workers engaged in dry mill production facility

Engage and train the necessary resources to ensure acceptable quality and quantity of output for the Company

Ensure availability of SOP’s, process documentation, supervisors, manpower and equipment to meet production responsibilities

Report to and attend the Production meeting to advice on performance and issues

Develop and apply knowledge of processes involved, production methods, and products

Performing training and development tasks related to work methods and procedures

Assess production performance and create KPI reports

Create and disseminate cutting lists and production programming documentation

Help to create, implement, and approve working instructions and SOP’s

Conduct shift supervisor/Team Leader meetings.

Absence management

Contributing to and leading continual improvement activities

Able to re-allocating tasks or rescheduling production, where necessary
