what if i have my 4,000 or 8,000 and i don't want to bid, can i buy the item i want directly to you?

ok, let's do the math. A Macbook normally costs 77,000 pesos at an Apple store. If bidding for a Macbook will start at 1 peso and for each increment of 1 peso, you will have to pay Bidgatin 10 pesos for the privilege of increasing the bidding by another peso. Imagine if the bidding will reach 10,000 pesos level, then Bidgatin will have already pocketed 100,000 pesos (at 10 pesos per 1 peso increment), meaning Bidgatin have already profited 23,000 at this point of the bidding. But the psychology of bidding will tell each bidder that even if the bidding reaches 20,000, it is still cheaper to win this auction compared to buying it at 77,000 pesos. At 20,000 pesos ladies and gentlemen, Bidgatin have already pocketed 200,000 pesos and profited 123,000. Let say nobody wants to bid anymore and the last bidder and winner gets the Macbook. He pays Bidgatin 20,000 pesos, right? But what about the 10 pesos per bid that he shelled out? If only 2 bidders fought it out, then each must have bidded 9,999 times, multiplied by 10 pesos per bid...99,990 pesos plus 20,000 for the winning prize, more expensive isn't it? The loser loses 99,990 pesos and gets nothing.

If there were 10 bidders fighting and trying to outbid each other,then each must have bidded 1,999 times and paid Bidgatin 19,990 pesos for bidding and trying to win. The winner then pays Bidgatin 20,000 pesos plus 19,990 for the bids he made. So that is a total of 39,990 for a Macbook!! hurray, that's so cheap! The 9 other bidders lose 19,990 each and get nothing. So this is a win-win situation for Bidgatin. This is not illegal (yet), but bidders must always do their math and only bid if they are ready to lose their money in case they lose the auction. My ten cents and have a good day everybody.

Hello Paxtweet. We use courier services like LBC, Air21 etc.

They are much cheaper and faster than direct delivery.

Of course they have tracking numbers so you know where your package is.

I just want to correct one of your statements: We will not pocket as much as you think.

The highest price a macbook will sell for in an untimed auction is P110.44 (http://www.bidgatin.com/price_pyr.php?this_auction=68)   But dont forget that we will give cash bonuses at the end of this auction. In this auction, the top bidders (including the winner of the MacBook) will get about 30,000 pesos cash back from www.bidgatin.com. So you are correct in calling our auctions win-win, but we include our customers in the winning.

In other penny auction sites, including a few others in the Philippines, losing bidders get nothing back.  We think that's why so many people cry scam. That's business but we are people too and we understand not wanting to waste time and money.

We at www.bidgatin.com want our customers to be happy. So if a person spends 17 thousand bidding but does not win the auction, we think 11 thousand or 5,500 back is not a terrible deal. Remember on most other penny auction sites out there, if you lose the auction you get nothing back.
