|Our Founder, HOJO originates from Liverpool, England and started his bag design career when he was a little boy. His first prototype bag was drawn on the wall of his father's garden shed. He used to do all different paintings of the flowers growing in and around the shed while his mother was working at home as a seamstress. The first bag made by HOJO was his school bag when he was only 13yrs old. Beginning as a drawing on the back of his school textbook, he sewed up the bag in the middle of the night while his mom was sleeping. He used the leftover materials from his mom's inventory and his first bag was born. At school, his multi-coloured bag became famous and soon his friends wanted one, too. He gave the first bags away for free. His friends were so happy that they kept hugging him. HOJO liked the hugs so much that he called his bags HUGGER bags. Later at school, he got a new nickname Hugger. |
HOJO decided to start his own business making bags and partnered up with his designer friend in England making Hugger Bags, and selling to retail stores. After generating enough cash flow, he moved to Hong Kong to setup an office where he knew it was the ideal location to enter the world of manufacturing. His partner, TJ, remains in England to take care of the design team while HOJO is staying in Hong Kong to take care of the production side.
Arriving in Hong Kong, HOJO did not know anyone, so he visited different bag factories to find a reliable supplier. During his factory visits, he met his future business partner, TY, who was helping his uncle run his bag factory. They shared the same vision and philosophy, and later TY became one of the business partners of Hugger.

However when texting/calling me, please introduce yourself by indicating where you saw my advertisement and indicating your handle. With numerous inquiries everyday, I sometimes get names/numbers mixed up.

3. Do you offer free shipping?
We offer free shipping within Metro Manila during weekdays, office hours only (10 am-6 pm). We do not deliver during weekends.
For domestic shipments, please add an additional 50 pesos to partially cover the cost of shipping the item. Unless otherwise stated, all domestic items are sent via Air21.
4. What is the minimum order?
The minimum order to qualify for free shipping is P500. For orders below P500, you can pick up the items at our office in Shaw Boulevard, Mandaluyong City or you can opt to add P100 more to avail of our delivery service.
5. What are the forms of payment?
Those within Metro Manila, you can avail of Cash on Delivery Service or you can pay via Bank Deposit.
To make your shopping experience more convenient, we offer CASH on DELIVERY.
For orders outside Metro Manila, payment is via bank deposit. Once we confirm your deposit, we’ll ship the items within the same day.
6. When do I receive my order? Will I receive my order today?
If the items are in stock, orders are usually delivered the next day. The cut-off time for orders for next day delivery is 11:59 p.m. of the previous day. This means that I should receive your finalized orders via email by 11:59 p.m. if you want the item to be shipped the next day. For example, if you want to get the item by July 2, you have to send your orders by 11:59 p.m. on July 1.
Orders are sorted by 8:00 a.m. and are dispatched by 9:00 a.m.
Orders in Metro Manila are delivered by our in-house messengers. We can deliver on the next day because we pay our own messengers and we don't outsource to other courier companies like Xend / Air21 / LBC. (However for provincial orders we use Air21 or LBC)
7. What time will I receive my shipment?
Orders are usually out for delivery by 9:00 a.m. so expect delivery of your item from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. We usually don’t commit a specific time for delivery since our messengers also have other deliveries to attend to and they have set routes for the day.
If for some reason you cannot receive your item personally since you have to go out of the house/office, please make sure to ask someone to receive the items on your behalf.
8. If I pick up the item/s will the price be the same?
Items are priced the same whether they are picked up or delivered. However the main advantage of picking them up is you can get the items even after office hours or during weekends.
9. Where are the pick-up points?
Items can be picked up in my office in Shaw Boulevard, a mere 5 minutes walk from the EDSA Shaw MRT station. Our building is located
right across Friendlycare clinic and right beside the new Lancaster Hotel
