SOFTWARE QUALITY ASSURANCE ENGINEERS

Role:
Create and implement full QA lifecycle project test plans.  The QA Engineer will be responsible in conducting alpha and beta testing for system enhancements. He/She will also facilitate deployment of these enhancements to the test, staging and production servers, this will be done in coordination with the development team leads. The QA Engineer will also have constant interaction with our Business Owners, Business Analyst, and the Development team.

Qualifications:
     * Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in an IT-related field (BS Computer Science, BS Computer Engineering)
    * 2 to 5 years experience in Quality Assurance.
    * With understanding of J2EE Architecture.
    * Complete understanding of software development life cycle
    * Sound understanding of relational database, Java programming language and Oracle Server.
    * Good communication, written and interpersonal skills.
    * Willing to extend for number of hours during deployment.
    * Skilled in creating test plans, load test plans and regression test plans following QA standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
   * Test server components, system interfaces and client components.
   * Perform API level testing, system testing, black box functional testing, client UI testing, stress, load and white box testing.
   * Apply test methodology, engineering and product knowledge in the design of tests and testing strategies for the analysis and qualification of systems.
   * Defines and tracks quality assurance metrics such as defects in the systems.
   * Performs quality engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with stated requirements.
   * Develops new approaches to solve problems identified during quality assurance activities.
   * Communicates significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities and provides recommended process improvements to management.
   * Prepares reports to communicate involvement and results of quality assurance activities.
