FRENCH COURSE (24 Hours)

This is an introductory course in French. The course introduces the French language by means of key language concepts and skills, along with functional practice in basic French communication.

Areas  of  concentration  for  the  course  integrate  the  development  of  student's  knowledge  of  French culture and  the  teaching  of its language  structure  (i.e.  pronunciation, vocabulary,  spelling, and grammar). For the most part, this course ultimately aims to develop student's communicative skills, necessary to function in a French speaking environment. Indeed, these skills are listening comprehension, reading comprehension, speaking, and writing. Lastly, medium of instruction for the course is partly in French and English.
