We are letting go of our 1990 BMW 520i E34 with automatic transmission.  She is a well looked after vehicle which has never given us any problems during our ownership.  She is kept clean inside and out.  The interior is kept clean with only minimal signs of her age.  Even cleaner is the engine bay, where there are no leaks or traces of leaks.  She gets washed everyday, waxed every week, and detailed every six (6) months.  She is far from being cosmetically perfect, but she is in great shape despite her age.

Other than being clean freaks, we try keep her in top mechanical condition.  Our maintenance procedure is simple, preventive rather than corrective.  This is to ensure that there are no unwanted breakdowns or downtimes that will compromise safety, and to identify a suspected failing part before any adverse incident can occur.  The following are recently replaced parts to ensure reliability:

• AMF (January 2012)
• Replace Spark Plugs (January 2012)
