The UFC 149 Faber vs. Barao Pay-Per-View arrives on Saturday evening featuring live streaming online and televised free fights for MMA fans. The main fight card will feature a battle between Urijah Faber and Renar Barao which may or may not be for an "interim" title due to another fighter's injury status.

While current UFC bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz is recovering from a torn ACL, that could mean a second champ will be crowned. According to ESPN.com, the main event UFC 149 fight will have a bit more importance as the two competitors will be possibly fighting over that "interim" championship. ESPN contends that UFC is doing this as a way to sell more Pay-Per-View buys on television and the internet. However, Renan Barao sees it differently, saying:

"To me, interim or not interim, it's very important. It's a belt, and I don't care if people don't like it or think it's not the real belt. ... It's a dream come true if I get it. I'm very excited about it."

ESPN adds that having the new title wouldn't necessarily make Barao a champion, but would "secure his chance." Meanwhile, he'd have to win the fight in order to have that chance, and he'll face one of MMA's top stars in Urijah Faber. The two lock up on the 10 p.m. EST UFC 149 fight card, which fans can order on cable, satellite, and live stream internet feed.

Prior to that, there will be two free preliminary fights live streaming on the UFC Facebook page at 7 p.m. EST, and then four more free fights on the FX channel. Roanoke viewers can see the televised fights beginning at 8 p.m. EST on Cox Cable channel .
