Job Title: Full-time Lead Editor

Description: Alpha Brand Media, an online media publisher, is looking for a home-based, self-sufficient Lead Editor to run daily operations for several web blogs. Your primary responsibility is to ensure the blogs are publishing a variety of engaging and high-quality content on a regular basis. You will supervise and guide writers to ensure both the quality bar and the content publishing requirements are achieved. Success will be measured by rates of increasing web traffic and visitor time on site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and develop website content strategy for ABM Properties
• Manage daily website article publishing schedule. Re-assign/juggle writer distribution as needed to make sure daily publishing requirements are met.

• Train and manage website's writers and copyeditors.
• Give all WordPress and content training, answer questions, make sure they are performing to satisfaction, give feedback, communicate and enforce policies such as payroll, image use, plagiarism.

• When necessary, hire new writers. Create job descriptions, monitor job listings, select and interview candidates.
• Coordinate with internal departments on various initiatives.

• Troubleshoot or escalate technical problems that writers are reporting. Login issues, formatting or connectivity issues.
• Act as press and media contact for all sites

• Distribute incoming article ideas to appropriate writers

• When necessary, upload and edit articles to Wordpress

• Ensure site content is relevant and appropriate for intended target audience
• Track and report on all site metrics.

• Exceptional communication, organization, and time management skill
• Ability to manage multiple-projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

• Bachelor's Degree in English, Journalism, Technical Writing or related field.
