Hanoi is also the gateway to the world-famous Halong Bay, recently declared one of New 7 Wonders of Nature. The bay features thousands of limestone karsts and isles in various shapes and sizes. So beautiful is Halong Bay that it was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

ITINERARY

DAY 01 (D)

Meet & greet at Hanoi Noi Bai International Airport

Transfer to hotel for check in

Afternoon Hanoi city tour – We visit Ethnology Museum housing cultural treasures from Vietnam’s 54 ethnic groups. Continue to visit The Temple of Literature, a Confucian temple which hosts the Quoc Tu Giam (Imperial Academy), Vietnam's first national university constructed in 1070. Its gardens and well-preserved architecture offers a relaxing glimpse into Vietnam’s past. We will take you past Hoan Kiem Lake, see the peaceful waters of what is considered the heart of the city, then visit Ngoc Son Temple (Temple of the Jade Mountain). We then visit the Hanoi Old Quarter

Dinner at local restaurant and enjoy special Vietnamese water puppet show

Free time for shopping at the night market of Hanoi Old Quarter

DAY 02 (B, L, D)

Breakfast at the hotel then check out

08:00-08:30 AM We will leave hotel for 3 ½ hour drive to Halong

Arrive in Halong then we board Halong Oriental Sails. Lunch is served with a welcome drink while the boat is cruising the bay and we enjoy the beautiful seascape dotted with limestone formations like Fighting Cock, Dog Rock, and Incense Burner

After visiting Amazing Cave we stop at a floating house and go kayaking (kayaking around 1.5 hours) to Luon Cave to enjoy the quiet atmosphere of the bay

Fresh fruits platter will be served followed by dinner

Overnight on board

DAY 03 (B, L)

Sunrise breakfast and cruise around the clear and emerald waters to another part of Halong Bay with a close up view of stunning limestone peaks such as Drum Cave, Man's Head Islet. We head to Van Gia Fishing Village where we will have the opportunity to understand more about the fishermen's daily life

We have lunch on board with a variety of local food as we enjoy the rest of the boat trip before heading back to Halong dock

We have a short break then we head back to Hanoi

Trip ends around 16:30 PM
