Health and Wellness Glutathione Soap and Lotion Philippines

UNO Glutathione Soap surprisingly works for skin whitening and smoothing. And it doesn’t dry or peel the skin to do it.

I first came across this product when a friend introduced it to me. I was skeptical at first, as I always am with products that claim to whiten the skin, minimize skin discolorations, and all the other claims that we see in the market today about fairer skin.

However, my friend explained that glutathione is actually a very powerful antioxidant. Then doctors noticed that when used as such, a very nice side-effect was smoother, fairer skin. (Hmm. Reminds me of botox.)

Well, an antioxidant is always a good thing, so I used the soap. I was glad I did.

Here are my inputs:

a) It was able to minimize my discoloration due to sun exposure. I have fair skin, but constant sun exposure has resulted in darker outer arms compared to my inner arms. So what I do is, in the bath, I soap my 2 arms, leave it on for about 3-4 minutes, then rinse it off. While my arms are not yet 100% similar in shade, I can really say that the difference is now lesser.

b) It also whitens the skin. While I already have “white” skin so this really is not something I would probably see on myself, my friend has medium skin and it really became fairer because of the UNO Glutathione Soap.

c) For the face, I tried following the instructions to leave it on for 1 minute before rinsing. But I didn’t stay with it because the smell of the soap is not very pleasant for me. It’s non-perfumed and all-natural and unfortunately, I’m not crazy about its natural scent (though natural is always better!).

d) I like that it is not pure glutathione soap alone, but also contains grapeseed oil, Vitamin C, and rosehip, all of which are good for the skin. In a way, I would think that this soap has anti-aging properties as well.

f) It doesn’t bubble and it isn’t a hard soap, which means it has no chemicals.

g) It hasn’t made my skin feel sensitive (which is often the bane of whitening products). As opposed to when I tried a kojic soap, and after my first use I experienced a slightly burning sensation!

Also, word of caution: For those who are naturally dark-skinned, this will not give you fair skin. From what I’ve read, glutathione can only restore our skin color (to some degree) to the way it was before the sun darkened it. It isn’t a magic product that will transform your skin color!

Lastly, price-wise, it’s very affordable so I would call it a value-for-money product.
