Kape at Kakaw ng Batangas (KKB) was established in 1948 by Marcelo Igle as a single proprietorship given the name Igle and Sons. Drawn by his love for coffee, he started out by selling small scale and manually performs coffee production processes such as drying, selection and roasting. When the coffee market rose, he extended his business and bought grinding and roasting machines in order to mass produce the coffee. In 2007, Renato Igle started to manage the business that was passed on by his grand father, and started out by changing the name to Kape at Kakaw ng Batangas.
