US Co. based in Philippines is the development arm for the publicly-traded leading US-based Internet retailer of automotive aftermarket parts and accessories, serving over 8 million website visitors monthly and managing over 700,000 products for vehicles.

Our Co. provides back office support (software development, Internet marketing and contact center services), helping our US principal grow into a progressive multi-channel e-business, driven by a rapidly expanding and highly profitable Internet channel
Descriptions
The Linux Administrator is part of a team that is responsible to deliver & maintain 24x7x365 up time of all e-commerce, development servers and related services. Daily responsibilities involve technical support, monitoring and implementing technology solutions that ensure system reliability and performance. Position requires working closely with the IT Operations and Engineering teams
Requirements
Passion for *Linux* and Open Source technologies!
3+ years of current/intensive “Linux” Systems administration (any RedHat variant)
PHP, Perl and Shell scripting for automation.
Knowledge of e-commerce services (DNS, Apache, SSL, MySQL, etc.)
Secure operating system implementation, performance tuning and roll-out.
Networking (TCP/IP)
Backup solutions and system monitoring
Desire to work in a fun, fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Experience in production environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Self management abilities
BS in engineering, computer science, or related experience

Responsibilities:

Manage, maintain, and grow production platform of *Linux* servers including host security.
Application/system performance analysis and tuning.
Domain / SSL management
Provide support to developers and marketing in relation to sites/e-commerce development
Perform on-call duties and after hours work.

Previously work with e-commerce solution
Networking (Lan, Wan, router programming)
Windows administration
Experience with Subversion
