| CANON ZR70MC Digital video camcorder - made in japan Used only once / looks brandnew Bought in usa No scratches on lens and body / no dents comes with original power adaptor CA-570 original usb cord original audio/video cord original Canon soft carrying case original battery pack BP-512 made in japan original 5hours battery pack BP-522 made in japan Canon wide attachment WA-30.5 japan 128mb sandisk SD card / canon memory card SDC-8M users manual FEATURES: Digital Video Format and IEEE 1394 Canon's ZR70MC camcorder adheres to an international MiniDV standard. Using MiniDV cassettes, audio and video are recorded digitally. The MiniDV format delivers more than 500 lines of horizontal resolution. In terms of picture quality, this is about 25% better than the best analog formats. It features a DV terminal, also known as a FireWire terminal, which conforms to the IEEE 1394 standard. Using this terminal, you can transfer digital video and audio to and from a computer equipped with a DV terminal, another DV camcorder, or a DV VCR. The digital data transfer occurs without any degradation to the image or audio. This means you can edit movies on your computer and maintain the same high level of picture and audio quality when you transfer the edited movie back to DV tape using the DV terminal. Image Stabilizer Canon's image stabilization system corrects camera shake -- caused by an unsteady hand, for example. This image stabilization system makes for smoother and steadier video even with hand-held shots, at full telephoto, and with shots taken from a moving car. Canon Precision Optical Zoom Lens Canon is known world-wide for its lenses. The zoom technology found in the lens of a ZR70MC camcorder is the same as Canon uses in its broadcast TV lenses, found in the majority of broadcast cameras. 22x Optical Zoom 440x Digital Zoom Shooting Modes The ZR70MC allows you to record both video and digital still images to tape. You can also save XGA High Resolution Photos and Motion JPEG movies to a MultiMediaCard or SD Memory Card. The ZR70MC features a high-performance 1/6" 680,000-pixel CCD to capture high quality video and digital photos. There is no need to carry both video and photo cameras with the ZR70MC. Advanced Dual Image Signal Processing Canon technology allows you to capture perfect video and the perfect photo. Since video and printed photos have different needs why should they processed the same? The ZR70MC uses two different processing techniques to maximize quality for a display on a TV or for printing. For the storage of digital still images, you can use either MultiMediaCards or SD memory cards in the ZR70MC. An 8MB SD Memory Card comes with the camcorder, storing XGA (1024 X 768 pixels) or VGA (640 X 480) quality photos. These images can be transferred to your computer using the camcorder's USB interface or a card reader. Direct Print with Canon Bubble Jet Printers Print directly from your camcorder to select Canon Bubble Jet Printers. A single USB cable connects the printer to the camcorder and all printing options can be controlled from ZR70MC's LCD Screen. Options include: selecting the print quantity, cropping, and whether you would like bordered or borderless prints. Exif Print (2.2) The ZR70MC supports Exif Print (2.2), a worldwide standard that enhances communication between digital cameras and printers. At the time of shooting, vital camcorder settings and scene data are recorded with the image, resulting in realistic color reproduction. Poor lighting or mistakes can also be corrected, allowing photos to be even better than the originals. Color Viewfinder and 2.5" LCD Screen The ZR70MC offers both a 0.33"color viewfinder and a 2.5-inch fold-out color LCD screen. For those who prefer the larger screen for composing their videos, the fold-out screen makes it easy. It twists and can be flipped so you can shoot your video from any angle without having to look in the viewfinder. The screen also is great for playback and review of your video immediately after you've captured a scene. Programmed Auto Exposure The ZR70MC offers the versatility to meet every exposure challenge, as well as ease of use when you're happy to let the camera make all the choices. Amazingly sophisticated circuitry delivers proper exposure automatically under almost any lighting condition. But you also can easily adjust the exposure in any one of several creative ways to meet your specific need. Selecting a different exposure mode lets you control how you want the video to look. For those who want total control of all aspects of the exposure system, the ZR70MC offers manual settings. You can select the shutter speed and aperture settings for full creative control. Manual Focus AE Shift Manual and Automatic Shutter Speeds Preset/Auto/Manual White Balance Digital Effects, Faders and Special Effects For that creative touch, a more appealing look, or greater imaging variety, you can switch on one of several digital effects: negative picture, art, black & white picture, sepia, mosaic. PCM Digital Stereo Sound The ZR70MC can record sound in two audio modes: 16-bit (48 kHz, 2 channels) for the highest sound quality, slightly better than CD quality, and equivalent to DAT tape; 12-bit (32 kHz, 2 from 4 channels) for recording on two channels (stereo 1), leaving two channels (stereo 2) open for post production audio recording (narration, music, etc.). IEEE 1394 Input and Output Terminal The ZR70MC is designed for the transfer of digital video and audio to and from either a PC or another IEEE 1394 terminal-equipped camcorder or professional DV VCR. The DV terminal allows high-quality transfer with virtually no deterioration in quality of images. You can edit and process images by connecting the camera to a PC with the IEEE 1394 terminal. Video and Audio Inputs and Outputs In addition to providing digital video input and output, the ZR70MC features two types of analog audio and video inputs and outputs: Composite and S-video. My Camera Function The My Camera function is designed to let you customize a number of features on your Canon camcorder to make it distinctively your own. The features are the start-up image and sound, shutter sound, start/stop sound, and the self-timer sound. The changes are made through an easy-to-use menu sequence. Sounds are selected from those provided by Canon. The start-up image can be the one supplied with the camera or you can create one by using a still image you have captured on the camcorder's memory card or one you have downloaded. Should you decide to change any of these features later on, it's as easy as going back to the menu to alter them. 6-Color Light-up Buttons To make your ZR70MC easier to use in lower light levels, the VCR playback controls can be illuminated in any one of six colors: turquoise, blue, green, yellow, violet, and orange. You may choose the color and change it as often as you want. Photo Search This feature allows you to search for images recorded in Photo Mode. Search forwards or backwards through the images one at a time, or +/-10 from the current position. Time Code The ZR70MC records a time code signal along with the video signal. This time code accurately identifies every point on the DV tape by hour, minute, second and frame. This is valuable when editing on a personal computer or professional video editing system. Data Code The DV standard calls for the automatic recording of date and time, shutter speed, exposure settings and other key camera data on the tape as you shoot. The ZR70MC does not permanently superimpose this data over your video. Instead, the data remains hidden until you select it for display during playback or editing. You can turn the display on or off at will and you can decide which data you want to display. Remote Control (optional) The full-function wireless remote control of the ZR70MC will work at distances up to 16 feet (4.9m). The remote can start and stop recordings, zoom the lens, handle all playback (VCR) functions, handle audio and video dubbing functions, and more. SPECIFICATIONS:
Memory Card The ZR70MC is the high-end model in Canon's 2003 lineup of ZR-series consumer MiniDV camcorders. It builds on the ZR65MC's already substantial feature set, adding a bigger zoom range, MJPEG video capture, and the Super Night mode--all for a street price lower than that of many similarly equipped competitors. Unfortunately, the ZR70MC shares the poor low-light performance and the noisy motor of its ZR brethren, so your shooting style will determine whether this camera is really a bargain. The 1.2-pound Canon ZR70MC is small enough to fit easily in a jacket pocket or a purse, so you'll always have the camcorder ready for those impromptu shooting opportunities. Its primary controls are well placed for one-handed operation
Canon's dedicated, backlit playback keys are novice-friendly, and they double as quick triggers for some shooting functions. Overall, the new ZR70MC user will find the button layout very accessible.
You choose a shooting mode with a quick tap of the jog wheel. It will also take you to more-advanced options if you press the Menu button before you start spinning. While some functions, such as automatic exposure, have dedicated keys, you'll have to stop shooting and delve into the menus to select settings for wind-noise reduction, image stabilization, and other commonly accessed features. The Canon ZR70MC's feature set covers all the major items. And nice extras include MJPEG video capture, analog inputs for dubbing your old tapes to DV, and an accessory shoe for an external microphone or light.
You'll find plenty of manual controls, such as adjustable white balance, shutter speed, and exposure. The usual Black And White, Sepia, and Mosaic modes are on hand, but the ZR70MC's wealth of gimmicky special effects also includes more-interesting choices. Mirror creates a second, reversed image of your subject, and Ball wraps your video around a 3D sphere. The seven faders range from typical fades and wipes to intricate puzzle, tide, and zigzag transitions. You can even mix the scene you're shooting with images already on the SD card; among the supplied samples are a picture frame, a newspaper, and party balloons. All these in-camera special effects give your video the potential to be anything from truly impressive to shockingly tacky--with no PC editing. Shooting modes include Sports, Portrait, Spotlight, Sand & Snow, Lowlight, and Night. Unique to this ZR model is Super Night mode, which shines a bright-white LED on objects in the dark. The ZR70MC captures stills to SD/MMC media. Panorama mode stitches photos together, and you can add frames and other effects by merging multiple pictures. The right Canon printer will let you skip over your computer and print images directly from the camera. You can also send video to the card, but your options are limited. At 320x240 resolution, the clips can be only 10 seconds long; you can stretch that to 30 seconds, but the size will be a postage-stamp 160x120--fine for e-mail but useless for pretty much anything else.
With outdoor video, the Canon ZR70MC's autofocus was fast and reliable, but it occasionally hesitated or briefly lost focus under weaker indoor light. And the autofocus completely failed on about one in five still photos. pls txt 09174900891 for any questions, tnx.
