I think it's best to share here what uPhone visions gonna be in the near future.

This is the MNS [Mobile Name Service] if we compare it to the web and how it works, this would be the DNS or Domain Name Service of W3C.

Last July 2005, ICANN approved .mobi TLD (Top Level Domain) this is the domain that every mobile web in the planet will be using and this is proposed and managed by mTLD global registry http://mtld.mobi/; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.mobi

the DNS acts as resolver of hard to remember IP address like 192.168.1.1. This service helps our mind and our hands to go to www.sulit.com.ph without typing the said numbers IP numbers statically assigned to Sulit.com.ph.

uPhone has a vision that every mobile device you have right now will be a "phone site", "mobile site" just like a website which of course not dependent on W3C protocol of course this will not happen overtime. The eco-system of web to mobile platform should be first established and created. "phone site" or "mobile site" doesn't have an economic value and business sense at the moment but wait for 3 to 5 years or so. This will get me really excited here.

It's very amusing to think that right from your mobile phone you can publish your resume, ads, blogs, etc. that you don't need to go online on the web or register your own web domain. If there's someone who will google your tagged keywords, it will appear on the web and mobile phones of other persons it depends on what medium he uses to google you could be the web or mobile phone doesn't matter. So i think there will be a two connection mode here when that happens. One is the on-demand-connection and persistent connection. {sorry i can't discuss it all here}.

OpenSocial of googles, Facebook platforms, .mobi, Open SMS Gateways, Open VOIP should be first established in order for this MNS be truly understand.

When that happens, there will be a need to resolve your SIM [Subscriber Identity Numbers] into an easy to remember name like "aericTan" for example. This will have an added convenience and security to the recipient and sender alike.

How? Normally if your phone doesn't a phonebook of aeric's number (known caller id) when he send sms or call to you the numbers would be the one to appear on your caller id instead of the name. However, when there's an MNS service available in the future the sender number will be resolved to a name or company's name and now you can see the name instead of the long number and that would become more humane.

This will cascade to many other value added services in the future. It could be that your phone now can FILTER who can send or NOT sms or call you. MNS will pave the way for that.

As you can see this makes our life more easy and secure.

Moreover, When you register your name "aericTan" to a MNS registrar, it will attest your name "aericTan" with your SIM: 0926-1234567 and then when you lost your sim number or your phone got stolen or loss in the future and for sure it will happen. You just replace the attested sim with your registered name and your friends, relatives, customers, client will not know or will not care that your old SIM was stolen or lost because they will see NOT the NUMBER but your NAME APPEARING on their phone when you make a call or send an SMS. Cool ha. Right. that's really cool.

Actually, I don't have the time to divulge all this but at least probably you get the pictures right now.

Yah sure why not, to those people who are interested in this kind of technology we'll be happy to come in Korphil for the discussion.

I started it, now you can throw your concern, let's hear your comments, suggestion and critics about this technological innovation.

This time will be our way.

Who knows maybe in the future we can create a legal bodies like IANA or ICANN not FOR THE WEB but for the mobile phone mmmp something like "MANA" or "MCANN".

It's just the thought right? Nothing special about that. However, if you ONLY want we can MAKE it happen here in Sulit, Korphil, and in the Philippines.
