We are a team of programmers, mathematicians and artists that specialize in creating web or desktop applications for ecommerce or pari-mutuel racing platforms. We create these solutions using the latest open source technologies from Sun Micro Systems, PHP, MySQL and Linux.

WEB DESIGNER

Responsibilities:

• Create design prototypes, including graphic design, site navigation, and layout of content for the main content website and other project websites
• Ensures that the layout of the website content is accessible and logical and should be able to recommend making improvements whenever necessary
• Create visual concepts that match the content and the image desired by the Company and/or its clients that fit into their standards
• Ensures that websites made are easy to navigate
• Build websites using technologies that conform to international standards and make sure that they are universally accessible.
• Perform maintenance and updates to existing websites when requested by clients.
• Provide training on maintenance and update procedures to clients who choose to take charge of their own websites, if applicable
• Contribute to the overall web communications strategy of the Company
• Provides 24 x 7 on-call support and problem resolution for website-related activities
• Performs tasks that may be assigned from time to time

Requirements:

• College graduate of Fine Arts or Computer related course
• Skills:Photoshop, HTML, Macromedia Flash, Javascript
• Ability to implement and troubleshoot website changes and modifications
• Ability to process computer data and to format and generate reports
• Knowledge and demonstrated experience with cross-browser and cross-platform issues (Internet Explorer, Firefox, etc.)
• Ability to pay attention to detail, be creative in solving issues and have above-average customer-service orientation
• Ability to communicate with and interpret the operational requirements of end users        
• Knowledge of current web-design trends and techniques
