What are the requirements?
Of course, the number one requirement is someone having the spirit of volunteerism for the community. This is something to be done in goodwill. Moderating a community also requires responsibility more than rights. Also, if there will be a number of volunteers to come forward, we cannot accept all to the Moderators Group. More senior/veteran Sulit.com.ph Forumers with good records will be given priority to join the group. And just like the last batch, you must be at least a Certified Sulitizen (at least 100 forum posts) prior to the posting of this new announcement before you can volunteer.
What are the perks of being a member of the Moderator Group?
First, you can gain more respect from other members by doing good for the benefit of the community. You can also have the chance to "Pay It Forward," the mantra being followed by Sulit.com.ph. For other perks, I won't enumerate anything here or promise you any SC or any added features that you can use. We are really looking for those who wanted to volunteer than those who wanted something in return for being a moderator.
What are the responsibilities?
- Become a forum role model. You do not have to be perfect as no one is, even the existing admins and moderators make mistakes. The important thing is that you are willing to follow the rules and implement them within the community and be responsible with your mistakes and learn from them.
- Moderate the forum according to the following rules
http://www.sulit.com.ph/index.php/faq+view/category/11/System+Rules+and+Policies#f34 - Do not abuse your moderator status
- Share with the admins and other moderators ways on how we can further improve our community through the Moderator-Only forum
If you wanted to be part of the moderator group, please reply to this message. We will NOT accept volunteers through Private Message. We believe that if you are willing to help the community by being a moderator, you should be proud doing so in public.
I also wanted to make it clear (also for everyone's information) that the moderator rights will only cover the community forum. Forum Moderators have NO special rights in the ads section. Also, Moderators do NOT have the capabilities to suspend anyone or give SC penalty to any member. These capabilities are only for the Admins (support team).
Just like the 4th batch of moderators, the existing moderators will be helping us to vote who among the volunteers will be chosen to become new members of the Moderators Group.
So if you are interested, please reply to this topic indicating your interest to be a Sulit.com.ph Forum Moderator.
Thanks in advance to all who will volunteer.
Deadline for Accepting Volunteers: October 2, 2009
F.A.Q
Q: Is it required to be online daily and attend moderators meetings?
A: No. Since you will volunteer for this position, then your actions must also be on your on will. Moderate when you want to and join gatherings if you are available.
Q: Can I nominate or vote for other members?
A: The member must volunteer for this position by himself.
Therefore, no need to nominate anyone. Only moderators and admins will be the ones to deliberate and vote among all the volunteers. And this will be done in the Moderators Forum which only moderators and admins have access.
Therefore, no need to vote for your bet.Q: Am I qualified?
A: If you asked this question in this topic and you are qualified, then you will be included in the list of volunteers from where we will choose the new moderators.
