Ty Doc6 and jiroyan, I'm planning on getting an 8gig Iphone 3g. My dilemma is, baka kulang ang 8gig para sa akin. So ang question ko is
1. Para sa iyo, sapat o kulang ang 8g?
2. Normally kase (well pag computers at least) pag malapit nang maubos nag space sa HD (e.g. 250gig, 2gig free) you can feel the system slowing down. Is this also the case with an Iphone?
3. Is it okay to get a 2nd hand one? why/why not?
If just Music, Pictures, Contacts. Okay lang yan. But kung Videos ang involved, then mapuno kaagad yan. Especially full length feature movies.
My rule of thumb is, I want to separate the phone from the media player/mp3 player. The reason is saving battery when needed to make a call.
And oh, 2nd hand are fine basta may warranty din. Apple Stores do sell used iPods & iPhone. Whenever some trades-in I guess. Dunno exactly if they trade-in products. But I do know they sell 2nd hands 'coz my cousin bought from them. It's working fine and all. So it all depends on who are you buying it from. Make sure to go to a legitimate store, or better yet an Apple Store.
I bought a 16gb iPod Touch when it first came out, i knew it wasn't enough but that was the biggest they had. After putting in 'bout (7) 2hrs movies, (8)music videos, (990) songs, (1,675) pictures, (lots) contacts, (lots) schedules sa calendar.... I'm left with 1gb of my 16gb. That's why I bought another, a 32gb 2nd Gen iPod Touch.
I'm so sorry Myadz, I hope someone here could help you. Kasi wala ako dyan, so i dunno kung saan makabili.
Any takers, sa mga may alam? Fellow Sulitizen?
Nimwey! so I take it, it worked. Good for you.
Doon mo e organized sa iTune. Pasok ka sa Movie Library, then piliin mo any na vids gusto mong e organize at mag right click ka may lalabas na window at piliin mo the first one "get info". Click that and a new window pops out, then click on video tab and fill in necessary infos. If you want and this is out of their rules, lagyan mo ng number bawat vids mo either before or after sa bawat titles. Then maggiging in order sila.
I'd advise you to buy a book on iPod/iPhone. Mura lang man yun. And there are a tons of tricks that I don't even know yet. hehehe
I used to have one before which I purchased for around 15K but then LCD problem occured and when I tried to ask for repair... never mind, I'm not going to waste my own money for apple product again
I'm sorry you feel that way. Are you sure it's the screen, 'coz sometimes it could be the rechargable battery. I've experience this from some friends' iPod where they've let the battery run out totally and for an extended period of time. And when they try to recharge it, it won't come on anymore. That case, there's 2 solutions: First, reset the iPod by press & hold Power button and Menu button simutaneously until apple logo comes out usually 'bout a minute or 2. If that doesn't work then go to the second, opening it's case and unplug the battery for a few seconds then plug it back in.
Everytime I buy a new one, I also buy a protective guard for the glass and as well as the body. On my first iPod (one with the Click Wheel & a small non-color screen, I think it's the 3rd Gen or 4th Gen of iPods), I had an iSkin cover for it. Drop it several times accidentally, and luckily the iSkin with it's rubbery like skin saved it. Never had a problem. Except the battery running out (explained above). Other than that, everything's handy dandy.
iPod Video o iPod Touch?
So more or less hati ng yun ang malagay mo doon.
There are 2 choices mo sa iPod Video: iPod Classic or iPod Nano (both plays video).
And mas mura, if you calculate yung price and storage space against sa iba.
That's because it uses a RAM chip for storage so no moving parts hindi madaling masira unlike sa Classic which uses a Mini Hard Drive for storage. Which explains why it can offer more storage capacity (120gb) as oppose to Nano's (8gb or 16gb).
Here's a link to their Specifications:

And advantages lang ng iPod Touch is the bigger screen, touch screen, wifi connectivity and the cool factor. That's all.
But which ever you choose, consider buying a protective case and a glass guard for the screen. It's worth every penny.
The glass needs to be covered when you first unwrap your iPod or iPhone. The reason is to preserve the glass without a scratch.
And here's a trick, apply the glass guard on your gadget in the bathroom after showering in hot or warm water. The reason? The steam lets all the flying dust foreign particules around the room settles down the ground. Then there's less foreign objects landing on your screen when applying a protective glass cover.
Hehehe... i dunno how to explain it well. Bahala na.
