I have some clarificatory questions, DJ.

I remember asking you before if a submitted answer can be modified and you replied in the affirmative, provided that the question hasn't expired yet. Does the 4th rule above supersedes that? Also, the cut-off time will be based on the expiration of the "easy" (sometimes more difficult....hehehe!) question in the Trivia Section, right?

Am I correct with my interpretations?

Andito pala yong Difficult question, before, picture lang or video for the difficult question, kaya pala ilang click na sa update e wala pa rin sa trivia posts. .  Mas madugo laban now kasi great2find is back at the start of the battle so fair ang laban..so goodluck sa lahat, pero noog Season 3 e marami  absent so  hindi nakasagot sa questions   unlike  me na walang  na-miss na questions kahit  na 0 ng 2x haha.. 

Hindi ko alam na pwedeng baguhin yong sagot during Seasons I-III..mas mahirap nga minsan 'yong Easy .

how will we know what time the question will expire? do we take a look at the time it was posted and see if it doesn't exceed "posted 23 hours ago"?

can we develop an alternative method of submission just in case we cannot have access to sulit.com.ph, or worse we can't have access to an internet-linked pc. actually, i'm thinking already of buying the smartbro, altho i'm not familiar yet with the mechanics of its usage and operation. i heard that it's just like loading a prepaid mobile phone. so may questions ako about expiration, actual loading, etc. if there's a kasulit who has had experience in using it, can he please give some advice via pm. salamat po.

Yes, you are correct in your interpretation. Answers, once submitted, cannot be changed anymore this time. And the cut-off time will be based on the expiration time of the active question at the Trivia Section.

Meanwhile, if the "easy question" appears to be more difficult, it's because it's hard for me to tell if a question should belong to the "easy" or "difficult" category until the results are in. Like I said before, I don't consult the internet when I'm making questions. I just do that, of course, when different answers start to come in.

Yes, it will be based on the time of the "easy" question. I have to include this "cut-off time" clause in the guidelines because  I post the scores (for transparency) before the questions expire. You might have noticed this in the first three seasons.

In case of internet or power failure, you can always text me your answers.

Difficult Question (300 points)

Assume that you can walk towards the moon through a straight path in space. As you move farther and farther away from the earth, the gravitational force exerted by the earth on  you becomes lesser and lesser, while the gravitational force exerted by the moon on you becomes greater and greater; until you reach a certain point where both of these gravitational forces become equal in magnitude. At this so-called "point of no return", you remain stationary in space (although you can move any part of your body) because you are being pulled by two equal but opposite forces. Suggest a way on how you can proceed to the moon or how you can get back to earth, whatever way you want.

The underlying principle behind this hypothetical situation is Newton’s Third Law of Motion, which states that “for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction”.

 

If you want to proceed to the moon while at the “point of no return”, you can fart. The fart (action)  moves towards the earth which will act as the propelling thrust for you to move towards the moon (reaction).

 

However, if you find it difficult to fart, then you can turn around facing the earth and you can do any of the following: 

 

1. Sneeze. The sneeze (action) moves towards the earth and the reaction is  your body moves towards the moon.

 

1. You can take off your clothes and roll them into a ball. Throw it towards the earth (action), and the reaction is  your body moves towards the moon.

 

1. If you brought a gun, fire it towards the earth. The bullet moving towards the earth supplies the action force, and the gun recoils (reaction) causing your body to move towards the moon.

 

Should you decide to go back to earth, do these things in opposite direction.

parang essay ang difficult question, dad. medyo nakakatuliro.

Honga, eh. Baka in trying to be concise, di natin mailagay yung mga keywords na hinahanap ni DJ. Sana nagbigay na lang siya ng maximum number of words. Kapag wala dun yung hinahanap niya, bawas sa points. I'm afraid he'll have to contend on some protests this time....hehehe!

Or, maybe he wants to gauge our grammar and composition skills. Mahirap nga naman mag-copy/paste sa klase ng tanong niya.

@mapusok...I'd rather call it "discussion type" than "essay". Just like what you will say when called upon to recite in class.

@danielperez501...Please don't sacrifice conciseness naman with significant keywords...I can't limit though the number of words because I don't want to be counting them - I'd rather concentrate on what you have written...Protests are always welcome, followed by friendly discussion...I will not consider grammar here - puedeng in Tagalog or in Taglish - I'm after the content.
