Car driven by a policeman ran over an old lady!

It happened a couple of weeks ago.A fast white vehicle approached a pedestrian lane just as an old lady was crossing it.This white vehicle turned out to be driven by a policeman.Then the accident happened.The white vehicle ran over the old lady hitting her head while stumbled on the road.As I was watching in awe,I was expecting the driver to get out of the vehicle and check what happened but he did not.The person who was sitting in the front passenger seat was also a policeman.He was the one who got out of the car,assisted and walked the old lady on the side street.Asking her if she's okey,but judging with the way the old lady walked she's very ill,she barely walked and the policeman had to somewhat drag her on the side street.I was just wondering why did'nt they just pick her up and bring her to the hospital instead?I'm guessing they're afraid of either the demerit or the expenses to cover.I took the plate number of the vehicle just in case.What do you think mga ka-sulits?Tama ba ginawa nila?
