MLM is simply a compensation structure. Without bells and whistles, it IS a sales business. Pag sinabi sa iyo na hindi ka magbebenta, iwasan mo na, kalokohan ang ipagagawa sa iyo nun. Lahat ng negosyo may sales, especially MLM since you will be selling yourself, your opportunity and its benefits, and your products as well.
As for how you do MLM, there are many things to consider but the most important thing is prospecting - looking for clients and potential business builders to join your organization. The next thing is duplication - teach your business builders how to do the same. Ika nga, "In MLM, teach people how to teach people to get rich."
There are many kinds of MLM for you to choose from, but if you want a stable and long-term MLM business, you would want to look away from local binary MLM's (those with pairing, ask anyone who invites you if they have pairing, if yes it's a binary) UNTIL such time that you master the ropes of MLM. Stick to established companies already. Master the ropes now, pioneer later.
