Let's discuss here what kind/s and brand/s of helmet do you use, why you chose it and/or other helmets you dream of owning.

Let me start if off, I use an HJC half-face helmet for everyday use. I chose it because it's the most comfortable helmet to use in street riding, and the brand has DOT approval rating. The CL-22 comes with a "tuka" (I don't know what else to call it hehehe) which is very useful to shield my eye from direct sunlight. And since it's a half face, it doesn't build up mist inside the visor when it rains unlike my full faced helmets. It has already been crash tested and obviously it lived up to it's rating kasi buhay pa ako hehehe. And the best part of it all, it only cost me PhP 2,000 5 years ago... sulit na sulit di ba?

HJC CL14 and Zeus 508W.  I prefer full face helmets since there's a 30% chance of hitting your chin in case of a crash.

I suggest wag na po tayong magtiis kung para sa proteksyon natin.... magkano lang naman po ang original na helmet kumpara kung maaksidente tayo at mabagok di ba?

Me and my riding buddies always say that the value of your helmet is how you value your brain hehehe... but of course there are plenty of cheap but dependable helmets around.

Zeus 508W 2800 nun sa Motoworld MOA, planning to buy New one ulit kasi nadisgrasya nako. Although ok pa ung helmet, it serve its purpose narin and sabi sa manual once nagkaganun, bili na ulit ng bago. Same model parin bibilhin ko, mganda na design, mura and dot certified pa.

I have several helmets from the expensive arai quantum to the cheapo pier helmets. Let's put in mind that the helmet that we use is intended to save our life and not just to follow the helmet law.

I was saved by an arai when I crashed long time ago during race. and A groupmate died because of a cheapo helmet. So kung kaya mo bumili ng motor siguro naman kaya mo din bumili ng quality helmet. Ride safe!

I'm also very fond of this helmet, the Shark RSF2, besides matching my bike's color, I love the snug fit and the low wind noise especially at speeds over 250kph, I can practically get by even without earplugs. Plus when it rains or the weather becomes too warm, I can slightly lift the visor to let the air in but it will not make me teary-eyed because the wind is deflected somewhere else. The only negative thing about this helmet is the clear visor which chipped-off after a while which makes it difficult to use during night rides and the smoked visor cost more than the Arai's and the Shoei's, nevertheless, it is my favorite full face helmet.

... and because of that, I bought another one, though I am not happy with the choice of color, it is still a great helmet!

Now, the Shoei RF-1000 which is almost the price of my 2 Shark helmets combined isn't what I expected it to be. Well the wind noise is ok and the aerodynamics is typical, I particularly dislike that the visor easily catches mist inside when it's cold and/or raining. And when you open the visor, the wind directly hits my eyes along with other debris that makes it difficult to use in the rain. The inner lining is okay and is very easy to wear unlike the Shark helmets which I sometimes pry open so my head could get in comfortably, the Shoei will fit without effort and it is still snug inside. The brand also makes me feel I'm wearing an Armani but deep inside I know I am better off with a Levis hehehe
